I'm always into occasional pops of magenta, which is exactly what we have here with Viola Davis in Cinq A Sept. There are no cut outs that expose a rib, no sheer panels that require nipple stickers, no applique butterflies pasted all over her torso… it's just a well-fitting dress that flatters its wearer but doesn't overshadow her. Do couples get any better looking than Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds? No. The answer is no. Here they are as Ryan receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their children were there. It was adorable. Blake looked amazing and was bravely managing to grin through her shivers (I'm imagining it was a touch nippy considering Ryan's gone full wool coat). First fact: this dress is Atelier Versace, and while it looks a little corsetty-tricky-to-breathe-in, Blake still manages to look wonderful. I’m getting SJP in SATC vibes. Wow. Rachel Leigh Cook is delightful and beautiful and, I imagine, not hard to make look amazing in a dress. All of those facts make this lace assault by Alice McCall all the more unforgivable. She's got about 12 outfits in one here - a sports bra, a white mod mini skirt, a lace see-through maxi dress and then a pirate’s shirt made out of doilies.
