Man charged with assault over 'Goldilocks' burglary of Donvale home

An 18-year-old man from Hampton Park has been charged over a frightening Goldilocks-like scenario in which a Melbourne couple returned home to find a man in their bed.

The man allegedly held a knife to the woman's throat after breaking into the couple's recently sold home in Heads Road, Donvale last Thursday.

He faced an out-of-sessions court hearing on Wednesday afternoon where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates Court on Thursday.
