A robber got the tables turned after Iraq veteran Jon Lewis Alexander pulled a gun on him during an attempted robbery in Marionville, Missouri.
The unidentified robbery walked into Beer:30. Video shows the clerk, 54-year-old Jon Lewis Alexander, telling him to leave. That's when the man pulled on a gun on Alexander, but Alexander was also packing a weapon: a Walther PPX 9mm.

The Swedish Air Force is today being adapted to new future tasks. With the collapse of the only military threat, the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, budget cuts have been made in the Swedish armed forces. The Swedish government decided to cut back on the Air Force and its fighters. Today about 80 Gripen C/D fighters remains in service. Some orders have been made on the helicopter side and about 40 new units will join the air force in the next coming years. Saab AB has also joined the primarily French project for the unmanned future stealth plane Dassault nEUROn.
In 2008 as well as in 2010, the Swedish armed forces wanted to retire even more fighters and close air-bases to relocate money to other branches. However, because of negative response from the public and pressure from the Swedish government, no cuts have so far been made.[8][9][10][11]
Defense Minister Sten Tolgfors responded to the Russian purchase of Mistral-class amphibious assault ships by saying that the Swedish Air Force would need "sea targeting capabilities".[12]
In 2013, the USMC introduced Swedish helicopter units to the forward air control airborne mission for better air-ground coordination.[13] In the same year, a further 60 Gripens from the modified E class was orders with the first plane to join the airforce in 2018.[14] In April 2014, the Swedish government proposed another 10 fighters making the total order of 70 planes.[15]
The Swedish Air Force underwent a rapid modernization from 1945. It was no longer politically acceptable to equip it with second-rate models. Instead, the Air Staff purchased the best it could find from abroad, e.g. P-51D Mustangs, De Havilland Mosquito NF.19 night fighters and de Havilland Vampires, and supported the development of top performance domestic models. When the Saab 29 Tunnan fighter was introduced around 1950, Sweden suddenly had planes that were equal to the best of the Royal Air Force, the Soviet Union's VVS, and the U.S. Air Force.
During the 1950s the air force started to build road bases after an idea taken from Germany. Built under the BASE 60 distributed airfield scheme,[2] the bases were ordinary highways constructed in such a way that they could also serve as landing strips. In the early eighties road number 44 was rebuilt to contain four short runways (17 x 800 metres). Along the road a large number of turn-around-sites for rearming and refueling were built. These short runways are still used today for training, landing and taking off with Gripen and Hercules as preparation for international operations under adverse conditions.[3]
During the Cold War large amounts of money (including all that had been reserved for Swedish nuclear weapons) were spent on the Swedish Air Force and domestic airplane production. In 1957 Sweden had the world's fourth most powerful air force, [4] with about 1000 modern planes in front-line service.[5] During the 1950s, it introduced fighters such as the Saab J 29 Tunnan, Saab A 32 Lansen and Saab J 35 Draken.
In June 1952 the Swedish Air Force lost two aircraft on Cold War operations, in what became known as the Catalina affair. A signals intelligence Douglas DC-3 was intercepted by Soviet MiG-15s over the Baltic, and shot down with the loss of three aircrew and five civilian technicians. A PBY Catalina rescue seaplane was then also downed, the five-man crew being rescued from the sea by a freighter.

In this video, we are covering defense techniques you can use for a choke from behind. That can certainly be a dangerous attack.
Let's say you find yourself in a situation where your awareness is down. If your attacker comes from behind you, immediately you should turn around. If you were busy listening to music, or on your phone, and didn't notice him though, you must react differently once he attacks you.
Most people have a particular reaction if they ever get choked from behind, and that is to pull on the rope that is around their neck and struggle to be free. It's very normal, our survival instinct is telling us to flee the situation as quickly as possible and to try our best to do so. However, this is not how you should react.
You only have a few seconds before your oxygen is cut off and you pass out from the pressure on your throat, so you want to make those seconds count, not waste them struggling in vain to escape. If you try to kick, reach for the eyes, or his hands, it will not work because you won't be able to strike your opponent hard enough, or even reach him as a matter of fact.
The best thing you can do in this type of situation is turning around once the rope is put around your throat, and striking him as quickly as possible! Once you have turned around, you have a better chance of escaping because you are in a position where you can strike and distract your attacker momentarily until you get out.
Remember, once you have turned around, you must strike fast. Most people have the instinct to pull away, but if your opponent is much stronger than you, it is not a good idea to do so. Striking him immediately, especially in the face, is more practical and recommended.
Johanna did a great job in defending herself! The element of surprise you can have over your attacker once you turn and strike is important, it can help you to escape, and manage to survive.

Air force
An air force, also known in some countries as an air army, is in the broadest sense, the national military organization that primarily conducts aerial warfare. More specifically, it is the branch of a nation's armed services that is responsible for aerial warfare as distinct from an army, navy, or a marine corps. Typically, air forces are responsible for gaining control of the air, carrying out strategic and tactical bombing missions, and providing support to land and naval forces.
The term "air force" may also refer to a tactical air force or numbered air force, which is an operational formation either within a national air force or comprising several air components from allied nations. Air forces typically consist of a combination of fighters, bombers, helicopters, transport planes and other aircraft.
Many air forces are also responsible for operations of the military space, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), and communications equipment. Some air forces may command and control other air defence assets such as anti-aircraft artillery, surface-to-air missiles, or anti-ballistic missile warning networks and defensive systems. Some nations, principally Russia, the former Soviet Union and countries who modelled their militaries along Soviet lines, have an air defence force which is organizationally separate from their air force.

Donald Trump
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. The NBC reality show The Apprentice bolstered his fame, and his three marriages were extensively reported in tabloids.

Defence minister
The title Defence Minister, Minister for Defence, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State for Defence, Secretary of National Defense or some similar variation, is assigned to the person in a cabinet position in charge of a Ministry of Defence, which regulates the armed forces in sovereign states. The role of a defence minister varies considerably from country to country; in some the minister is only in charge of general budget matters and procurement of equipment; while in others the minister is also, in addition, an integral part of the operational military chain of command.
Prior to the 20th century, there were in most countries separate ministerial posts for the land forces (often called "minister for war" etc.) and the naval forces. Since the end of World War II, the title has changed from war to defence, and has often involved putting a single defence minister in charge of all the armed forces. Another common reform which occurred at the end of World War II was to place the defence minister in a national security council, war cabinet, or a "Kitchen Cabinet", which allows the head of government or head of state to coordinate military, diplomatic and economic activities.

James Mattis
James N. Mattis (born September 8, 1950) is a retired United States Marine Corps general who last served as the 11th commander of United States Central Command. Mattis is known for his military legacy, including implementing the COIN strategy. Having replaced David Petraeus on August 11, 2010, he previously commanded United States Joint Forces Command from November 9, 2007, to August 2010 and served concurrently as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation from November 9, 2007, to September 8, 2009. Prior to that, he commanded I Marine Expeditionary Force, United States Marine Forces Central Command, and 1st Marine Division during the Iraq War. General Mattis retired on May 22, 2013, after 44 years of service.
Early life and education
Mattis was born in Pullman, Washington on September 8, 1950. He graduated from Columbia High School, Richland, Washington, in 1968 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1969. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Central Washington University and was commissioned a second lieutenant through ROTC on January 1, 1972. Mattis during his service years was considered something of an intellectual among the upper ranks, with his personal library numbering more than a thousand volumes. Major General Robert H. Scales (ret.)(PhD), described him as "....one of the most urbane and polished men I have known." Reinforcing this intellectual persona was the fact that he carried on his person a copy of the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius throughout his deployments.

The Swedish Air Force is today being adapted to new future tasks. With the collapse of the only military threat, the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, budget cuts have been made in the Swedish armed forces. The Swedish government decided to cut back on the Air Force and its fighters. Today about 80 Gripen C/D fighters remains in service. Some orders have been made on the helicopter side and about 40 new units will join the air force in the next coming years. Saab AB has also joined the primarily French project for the unmanned future stealth plane Dassault nEUROn. In 2008 as well as in 2010, the Swedish armed forces wanted to retire even more fighters and close air-bases to relocate money to other branches. However, because of negative response from the public and pressure from the Swedish government, no cuts have so far been made.[8][9][10][11] Defense Minister Sten Tolgfors responded to the Russian purchase of Mistral-class amphibious assault ships by saying that the Swedish Air Force would need "sea targeting capabilities".[12] In 2013, the USMC introduced Swedish helicopter units to the forward air control airborne mission for better air-ground coordination.[13] In the same year, a further 60 Gripens from the modified E class was orders with the first plane to join the airforce in 2018.[14] In April 2014, the Swedish government proposed another 10 fighters making the total order of 70 planes.[15] The Swedish Air Force underwent a rapid modernization from 1945. It was no longer politically acceptable to equip it with second-rate models. Instead, the Air Staff purchased the best it could find from abroad, e.g. P-51D Mustangs, De Havilland Mosquito NF.19 night fighters and de Havilland Vampires, and supported the development of top performance domestic models. When the Saab 29 Tunnan fighter was introduced around 1950, Sweden suddenly had planes that were equal to the best of the Royal Air Force, the Soviet Union's VVS, and the U.S. Air Force. During the 1950s the air force started to build road bases after an idea taken from Germany. Built under the BASE 60 distributed airfield scheme,[2] the bases were ordinary highways constructed in such a way that they could also serve as landing strips. In the early eighties road number 44 was rebuilt to contain four short runways (17 x 800 metres). Along the road a large number of turn-around-sites for rearming and refueling were built. These short runways are still used today for training, landing and taking off with Gripen and Hercules as preparation for international operations under adverse conditions.[3] During the Cold War large amounts of money (including all that had been reserved for Swedish nuclear weapons) were spent on the Swedish Air Force and domestic airplane production. In 1957 Sweden had the world's fourth most powerful air force, [4] with about 1000 modern planes in front-line service.[5] During the 1950s, it introduced fighters such as the Saab J 29 Tunnan, Saab A 32 Lansen and Saab J 35 Draken. In June 1952 the Swedish Air Force lost two aircraft on Cold War operations, in what became known as the Catalina affair. A signals intelligence Douglas DC-3 was intercepted by Soviet MiG-15s over the Baltic, and shot down with the loss of three aircrew and five civilian technicians. A PBY Catalina rescue seaplane was then also downed, the five-man crew being rescued from the sea by a freighter. -

Let's say you find yourself in a situation where your awareness is down. If your attacker comes from behind you, immediately you should turn around. If you were busy listening to music, or on your phone, and didn't notice him though, you must react differently once he attacks you. Most people have a particular reaction if they ever get choked from behind, and that is to pull on the rope that is around their neck and struggle to be free. It's very normal, our survival instinct is telling us to flee the situation as quickly as possible and to try our best to do so. However, this is not how you should react. You only have a few seconds before your oxygen is cut off and you pass out from the pressure on your throat, so you want to make those seconds count, not waste them struggling in vain to escape. If you try to kick, reach for the eyes, or his hands, it will not work because you won't be able to strike your opponent hard enough, or even reach him as a matter of fact. The best thing you can do in this type of situation is turning around once the rope is put around your throat, and striking him as quickly as possible! Once you have turned around, you have a better chance of escaping because you are in a position where you can strike and distract your attacker momentarily until you get out. Remember, once you have turned around, you must strike fast. Most people have the instinct to pull away, but if your opponent is much stronger than you, it is not a good idea to do so. Striking him immediately, especially in the face, is more practical and recommended. Johanna did a great job in defending herself! Plot: Young Raymond Rudford,sculptor, is on trial for slitting the throat of his uncle, who had adopted and raised him after Raymond's parent's died when he was a young boy. The prosecution allows his motive was fear of being disinherited if he married his fiancé, the fair Alicia Atherton, against his uncle's wishes, and the prosecution lays a mountain of evidence against Raymond, including his razor, dragged from an artificial lake on the estate, as the murder weapon; Raymond's bloody fingerprints and footprints found at the scene of bedroom crime, and his bloody shoes, found in his cupboard and bloody monogrammed-handkerchief found under his uncle's death bed. Raymond's only defense is that he could not have committed the crime as he goes into a paroxysm of dread at the mere sight of blood, a phobia he has had ever since childhood when his dog was run over by a lorry and the dog's blood was splattered into his face. But the jury doesn't buy that and he is found guilty and sentenced to death. The fair Alicia thinks he is innocent and someone else murdered the uncle. But, if not Raymond, who? Possibly Raymond's childhood friend, the bright and chirpy Peter Bromley, who has an eye on Alicia himself; or Doctor Bristol, who likes to dabble in hypnotism...and there was a butler in the house.

The Swedish Air Force is today being adapted to new future tasks. With the collapse of the only military threat, the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, budget cuts have been made in the Swedish armed forces. The Swedish government decided to cut back on the Air Force and its fighters. Today about 80 Gripen C/D fighters remains in service. Some orders have been made on the helicopter side and about 40 new units will join the air force in the next coming years. The Swedish Air Force is today being adapted to new future tasks. With the collapse of the only military threat, the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, budget cuts have been made in the Swedish armed forces. The Swedish government decided to cut back on the Air Force and its fighters. Today about 80 Gripen C/D fighters remains in service. Some orders have been made on the helicopter side and about 40 new units will join the air force in the next coming years. Saab AB has also joined the primarily French project for the unmanned future stealth plane Dassault nEUROn.
In 2008 as well as in 2010, the Swedish armed forces wanted to retire even more fighters and close air-bases to relocate money to other branches. However, because of negative response from the public and pressure from the Swedish government, no cuts have so far been made.[8][9][10][11]
Defense Minister Sten Tolgfors responded to the Russian purchase of Mistral-class amphibious assault ships by saying that the Swedish Air Force would need "sea targeting capabilities".[12]
In 2013, the USMC introduced Swedish helicopter units to the forward air control airborne mission for better air-ground coordination.[13] In the same year, a further 60 Gripens from the modified E class was orders with the first plane to join the airforce in 2018.[14] In April 2014, the Swedish government proposed another 10 fighters making the total order of 70 planes.[15]
The Swedish Air Force underwent a rapid modernization from 1945. It was no longer politically acceptable to equip it with second-rate models. Instead, the Air Staff purchased the best it could find from abroad, e.g. P-51D Mustangs, De Havilland Mosquito NF.19 night fighters and de Havilland Vampires, and supported the development of top performance domestic models. When the Saab 29 Tunnan fighter was introduced around 1950, Sweden suddenly had planes that were equal to the best of the Royal Air Force, the Soviet Union's VVS, and the U.S. Air Force.
During the 1950s the air force started to build road bases after an idea taken from Germany. Built under the BASE 60 distributed airfield scheme,[2] the bases were ordinary highways constructed in such a way that they could also serve as landing strips. In the early eighties road number 44 was rebuilt to contain four short runways (17 x 800 metres). Along the road a large number of turn-around-sites for rearming and refueling were built. These short runways are still used today for training, landing and taking off with Gripen and Hercules as preparation for international operations under adverse conditions.[3]
During the Cold War large amounts of money (including all that had been reserved for Swedish nuclear weapons) were spent on the Swedish Air Force and domestic airplane production. In 1957 Sweden had the world's fourth most powerful air force, [4] with about 1000 modern planes in front-line service.[5] During the 1950s, it introduced fighters such as the Saab J 29 Tunnan, Saab A 32 Lansen and Saab J 35 Draken.
In June 1952 the Swedish Air Force lost two aircraft on Cold War operations, in what became known as the Catalina affair. A signals intelligence Douglas DC-3 was intercepted by Soviet MiG-15s over the Baltic, and shot down with the loss of three aircrew and five civilian technicians. A PBY Catalina rescue seaplane was then also downed, the five-man crew being rescued from the sea by a freighter.

Let's say you find yourself in a situation where your awareness is down. If your attacker comes from behind you, immediately you should turn around. If you were busy listening to music, or on your phone, and didn't notice him though, you must react differently once he attacks you.
Most people have a particular reaction if they ever get choked from behind, and that is to pull on the rope that is around their neck and struggle to be free. It's very normal, our survival instinct is telling us to flee the situation as quickly as possible and to try our best to do so. However, this is not how you should react.
You only have a few seconds before your oxygen is cut off and you pass out from the pressure on your throat, so you want to make those seconds count, not waste them struggling in vain to escape. If you try to kick, reach for the eyes, or his hands, it will not work because you won't be able to strike your opponent hard enough, or even reach him as a matter of fact.
The best thing you can do in this type of situation is turning around once the rope is put around your throat, and striking him as quickly as possible! Once you have turned around, you have a better chance of escaping because you are in a position where you can strike and distract your attacker momentarily until you get out.
Remember, once you have turned around, you must strike fast. Most people have the instinct to pull away, but if your opponent is much stronger than you, it is not a good idea to do so. Striking him immediately, especially in the face, is more practical and recommended.
Johanna did a great job in defending herself! The element of surprise you can have over your attacker once you turn and strike is important, it can help you to escape, and manage to survive.
