Veterans For Peace (VFP)
A national organization of US military veterans working together for peace and justice through non-violence. Founded in 1985, Veterans For Peace includes men and women veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and other conflicts along with peacetime veterans. Using personal experiences and perspectives gained as soldiers and veterans, VFP strives to raise public awareness of the true costs and consequences of militarism and war, and to seek peaceful, effective alternatives. Veterans For Peace is an official Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) represented at the United Nations. Many members of Veterans For Peace have provided IVAW members with support and understanding that only other veterans can offer.

Veterans for America
Veterans for America , a program of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation and The Justice Project, is an educational, humanitarian, and advocacy organization addressing the causes, conduct, and consequences of war.  VFA brings generations of veterans together to build on more than 25 years of experience in protecting America 's values. VFA is committed to addressing the needs of our veterans, service members, and their families, and their larger concerns about the impact of war.

National Gulf War Resource Center (NGWRC)
An international coalition of advocates and organizations providing a resource for information, support, and referrals for all those concerned with the complexities of Persian Gulf War issues, especially Gulf War illnesses and those held prisoner or missing-in-action.

National Veterans Foundation
NVF serves the crisis management, informational, and referral needs of all U.S. veterans and their families.  NVF is a non-profit organization that offers emotional support, a listening ear, and information about veteran services and resources available in your community and throughout the United States. NVF is run by veterans, for veterans. Their team of professional counselors includes veterans of Vietnam, the Cold War, Desert Storm, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, who understand first-hand the issues facing today’s veterans and their families. Our sole purpose is to help you get the help you need as quickly as possible.

The possibility of death or injury as a result of military service is often associated with combat hostilities. However, one of the leading causes of injuries amongst veterans is not a result of the hostile actions of enemy combatants. Government neglect and corruption has poisoned and abandoned military personnel, exploiting and using them for short-term military corporate goals and medical trials. Thousands of military personnel since the Gulf War have been poisoned by depleted uranium used in US military armaments causing staggering amounts of cancer, “Gulf War Syndrome,” and birth defects in children conceived after war. Personnel have also suffered the adverse affects of military drugs and vaccines. Many more develop PTSD, but lack appropriate treatment. The US government’s response to these vital issues among veterans is to deny that they exist.

Vets 4 Vets
Vets4Vets is a non-partisan project consisting of Iraq-era military veterans taking part in and creating veteran support groups in which veterans listen and take equal and uninterrupted turns telling their stories within an agreement of complete confidentiality. It is a forum in which US military veterans can help and support each other and express problems and situations that family and/or friends may not understand or relate to.  Many of our members have found it to be very helpful in building a foundation for friendship and action. 

Veteran Centers
Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling and outreach services to all veterans who served in any combat zone. Services are also available for their family members for military-related issues. Veterans have earned these benefits through their service and all are provided at no cost to the veteran or family. The Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Center program operates a system of 207 community based counseling centers in all fifty states, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.  The Vet Centers are staffed by small multi-disciplinary teams of dedicated providers, many of which are combat veterans themselves. Vet Center staff are available toll-free during normal business hours at 1-800-905-4675 (Eastern) and 1-866-496-8838 (Pacific).

The Soldiers Project
A group of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and marriage and family therapists located in the Southern California area and hoping to expand. The Soldiers Project is part of the Trauma Center of LAISPS (Los Angeles Institute & Society for Psychoanalytic Studies). "You served your country and now we would like to help you. National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV)
This non-profit organization is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state, and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid, and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.

Operation Welcome Homes
A plan to get Americans to donate “dormant” space in condos, time-shares, and even commercial lodging facilities to uplift the morale of returning soldiers and their families.

U.S. Vets
U.S. Vets is the largest organization in the country dedicated to helping homeless veterans and a nationally recognized leader in the field of service delivery to veterans.  U.S. Vets provides safe, sober, clinically supported housing & employment assistance for homeless veterans. Centers are located in California, Nevada, Hawaii, Texas, Arizona, and Washington, DC.
