Great finish. That's the Sixers' highest-ever score, the biggest run chase of the 2016-17 Big Bash, and the fourth-biggest in Big Bash history. Sadly for Heat fans, this might be a familiar feeling - four of the six biggest ever run chases in the Big Bash have now come off their bowling.
Superb knock from Dan Hughes, ably supported by Brad Haddin with some decent strikes from Maddinson, Botha and with the game on the line, Sean Abbott. That's the first loss for the Heat this season and a win for the Sixers that sees them stay inside the top four. Thanks for tuning in, we'll see you next time.
Game over!
It's a maximum to end it. Abbott gets a big top edge, there's no protection at third man or deep fine leg and it lands just beyond the rope. What an ending!
They get a bye!
Another swing and a miss and this time they run...Peirson misses the stumps and they'll sneak through! Two needed off three...could we see a super over?
Dot ball!
Dwarshuis is at the crease and his first ball is a swing and a miss - they don't run so now it's three needed from four!
BOWLED HIM!
Well then! The first ball of the last over is a bit short from Cutting, but it kept low and Hughes chopped it onto his own stumps. He goes for 85...so close to carrying his bat through the innings! Three needed from five. Tense.
Back to topThe last ball of the 19th is a single for Hughes, so they'll need three from the final over - Cutting to bowl, Dan Hughes, who has played a brilliant knock, will face.
Chance!
Leading edge and cover had crept in, so it goes over his head! He'd come charging in to prevent the single and instead plays himself out of a wicket.
Hughes whips a single away, so Sean Abbott is on strike. Five needed from nine balls.
Botha departs - but is it too late for Brisbane?
Probably too little, too late. After a two to start the over he skies one from Swepson right up in the air...but it's six to win from 10 balls and Hughes is back on strike.
After a single, Hughes blasts a full toss back over Cutting's head for four more. Eight needed from 12 balls now, what a chase this has been.
Back to topBotha skies a rank full does from Cutting, a diving Wildermuth just misses it and it bounces inside the rope and over it. Down to a run a ball now.
Cagey over from Swepson, no boundaries but a few runs off it, including three sundries which may be costly. 22 needed from 18 and you have to like the Sixers' chances here.
That's carried a mile - great control from Hughes as that one was wide down the leg side and he just used the pace of the ball to his advantage.
But now Haddin goes!
Excellent captaincy from McCullum - Andrew Symonds on commentary predicted that the skipper had told his bowler to dig one in short...he does, and Haddin dabs it to the man at square leg. Good catch, and suddenly it's anyone's game again!
Wildermuth's first ball of the 16th over is mashed back over his head and to the ropes. Haddin has 32 off 12, this is a fine knock.
Back to topNo boundaries from the next Badree over, but no dots either. They work the ball around well for four twos and two ones - ten from it. 41 to win from the final five overs, we're in for a great finish.
Short and down leg side and Haddin hooks that one away too. This is a fantastic over for the Sixers - 16 off it so far.
It never ceases to amaze how the Heat pacemen consistently serve up utter trash #BBL06

That's even better!
That's big - not great from Steketee and it's lashed over the midwicket fence and well caught by a fan.
Huge from Haddin - steps away from his stumps and just whacks that one over long on and into the seats. These two have got a decent little partnership cooking.
