Police divers have found the body of a missing swimmer at Lake Eucumbene in the Snowy Mountains.
NSW police said the 44-year-old Cooma man had been swimming with family when he went missing about 3pm on New Year's Day.
Marine Rescue NSW said police asked for its help about 3.30pm Sunday, and it sent a boat with a side scan sonar to join the search.
Police, the Westpac helicopter, NSW Ambulance paramedics and State Emergency Services helped in the search, which continued for a number of hours on Sunday night before resuming on Monday.
The man's body was found about 12.40pm Monday. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
