Whist Rules
Whist is a simple trick taking game, played in pairs. The players sitting across from each other are a team and together they try to get as many tricks as possible.
Dealing and starting
Each player gets dealt 13 cards. The first player to start is chosen randomly, in the next round the person to start will be the next person to the left of the person who started the current round. (1 round is 13 tricks, i.e. starting a new round is when all the cards are finished and are dealt again).
Trumps
In each round there is a special trump suit, whose cards are considered higher than all the other suits. Every fifth round there is no trump. The order of trumps goes: Hearts, Spades, Diamonds, Clubs, No Trump.
Playing
A player leading a trick can put out a card in any suit he wants, even the trump suit. The players that follow must put out cards in the same suit if they have at least one. If they have no cards in the same suit they may put out any card they want. The player who puts out the highest card in the suit takes the trick, unless someone has put out a trump card, in which case the highest trump card takes it. The player who takes the trick will then lead in the next trick.
Scoring
After a round is finished the score is calculated. The tricks of each team are counted, and they get a point for each trick over 6 tricks. So if John and Lisa get 8 tricks and You and Bill get 5, then John and Lisa get 2 points but You and Bill get no points. Points are tracked between rounds and the first team to get 7 points wins the entire game. Since there are 13 tricks in each round and you get points for number of tricks above 6 that means that if you get all 13 tricks you will be able to win in one round.

Bidding and predicting wins are what make playing Bid Whist fun and exciting, whether you win or lose.
Step 1: Draw cards to determine dealer
Draw cards to determine the dealer. Whoever draws the first diamond deals first. Each player gets 12 cards and six cards are placed face down in the center of the table to form a kitty.
Tip
The kitty can be made at any time during the deal, but the first or last four cards cannot be put in the kitty.
Step 2: Bid from three to seven
Bid from three to seven to indicate the "books" above six that your team proposes to win. A bid of five, for example, is a promise to win 11 books. Seven is the highest bid.
Tip
"Uptown" means that high cards will win. "Downtown" means that low cards will win. "No trump" means that if you win the bid, you determine whether high or low cards have preference.
Step 3: Pass or name a bid
Pass or name a bid higher than the previous bid.
Step 4: Lead with any card
Lead with any card. Subsequent cards follow suit. Players not leading may play a trump or different suit, and a trump beats non-trump cards played.
Tip
The highest trump or card wins the book. The winner leads the next round.
Step 5: A renege is failure to follow suit
Fail to follow a suit and the player reneges. Books won by the reneging team must be given to the non-reneging team.
Step 6: End game
Earn a score of plus or minus seven or score minus seven or more to end the game.

Though Bid Whist dates back to the 1930s, professional Bid Whist didn’t begin until the late 1990s, with tournaments and cash rewards.

Whist
Whist is a classic English trick-taking card game which was widely played in the 18th and 19th centuries. Although the rules are extremely simple, there is enormous scope for scientific play.
History
Whist is a descendant of the 16th century game of trump or ruff. Whist replaced the popular variant of trump known as Ruff and Honours. The game takes its name from the 17th Century whist (or wist) meaning quiet, silent, attentive, which is the root of the modern wistful.
According to Barrington, Whist was first played on scientific principles by a party of gentlemen who frequented the Crown Coffee House in Bedford Row, London, around 1728. Edmond Hoyle, suspected to be a member of this group, began to tutor wealthy young gentlemen in the game and published A Short Treatise on the Game of Whist in 1742. It became the standard text and rules for the game for the next hundred years and led to the game becoming fashionable.
In 1862 Henry Jones, writing under the pseudonym "Cavendish", published The Principles of Whist Stated and Explained, and its Practice Illustrated on an Original System, by Means of Hands Played Completely Through, which became the standard text. Many subsequent editions and enlargements of this work were published using the simpler title Cavendish On Whist. By this time Whist was governed by elaborate and rigid rules covering the laws of the game, etiquette and play which took time to study and master.

Flo Rida
Tramar Lacel Dillard (born September 16, 1979), better known by his stage name Flo Rida (pronounced /floʊ ˈraɪdə/,) is an American hip hop recording artist from Carol City, Florida. He is known for releasing a string of hits, such as his 2008 breakout single "Low", which was number one for 10 weeks in the United States and broke the record for digital download sales at the time of its release. "Low" was followed by the Top 40 hits, "Elevator" and "In the Ayer".
As of 2016, Flo Rida has released four studio albums. His first album, 2008's Mail on Sunday, debuted at number four in the US. The album was succeeded by R.O.O.T.S., the next year. His subsequent albums, 2010's Only One Flo (Part 1) and 2012's Wild Ones, also charted on the US Billboard 200 chart.
Flo Rida has sold over 80 million records worldwide. His catalog includes the international hit singles "Right Round", "Club Can't Handle Me", "Good Feeling", "Wild Ones", "Whistle", "I Cry" and "G.D.F.R.", among others.

Bidding and predicting wins are what make playing Bid Whist fun and exciting, whether you win or lose.
Step 1: Draw cards to determine dealer
