One man dead, two critical after drug overdose at party in southern Queensland

One man has died and two others are fighting for life after suffering drug overdoses at a large party in southern Queensland on Sunday morning.

Police were called to the private property south of Hardgrave Road in Mount Lindesay, south-west of Brisbane on the New South Wales border, about 10.20am.

A private rave party on a remote property near the Queensland-New South Wales border leaves one man dead and two others fighting for life. Nine News

Officers were confronted by a large party with as many as 500 people in attendance and found several people showing an adverse reaction.

Paramedics attended and commenced CPR on one man who later died at the scene, while two other men were airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital and Toowoomba Base Hospital in critical conditions.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed the victims were treated for drug overdoses..

It is understood the person who called emergency services said they believed the cause of the reactions was methamphetamine.

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch were on the scene and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
