Welcome to NACAA

The NACAA convention has been held across Australia since 1967, and has become a significant national forum at which amateur astronomers can exchange experiences, stay abreast of the latest trends, foster co-operative activities between individuals, societies and the professional sphere, and network amongst their peers throughout Australia and beyond.

NACAA 2018

The Ballarat Astronomical Society is pleased to announce that they will host the 28th NACAA over Easter 2018 (March 30-April 2). Everyone interested in amateur astronomy is invited to attend.

NACAA XXVII success!

The 27th NACAA was hosted by the Sutherland Astronomical Society and held at the University of Sydney. Celebrating 50 Years of NACAA, the convention was an outstanding success with over 120 people attending over the Easter 2016 weekend. More than 60 presentations and posters covered the diverse range of amateur astronomy in Australia and beyond. You can read the details here.

Fourth VSS Symposium

The 4th Variable Stars South Symposium was held in conjunction with NACAA XXVII. The event was well attended, with many excellent presentations. You can read a report here.
