Share news using RSS feeds

You can use RSS feeds and a feed reader to get a list of stories from a section on Google News. This feature only works on desktop computers.

Google News RSS feeds are available in RSS 2.0 format.

Set up a Google News RSS feed

1. On a computer, go to news.google.com.

2. Select a news section like Sports, Business, or a custom section.

3. At the bottom of the page, click RSS. The code for the feed appears.

4. In your address bar, copy the URL to your feed reader.

To change how many times you get updates, check the feed reader you currently use.

Attribute RSS feeds correctly

If you add Google News feeds onto your website, read Google’s Terms of Service. Then make sure you do the following:

• Attribute the feeds to Google News

• Attribute each news item to its publisher, using the name that appears in the Google News feed

• Include a link to the group of related stories for each news item, using the link provided in the Google News feed

• Mention the search terms used to create the RSS feed

Why Google might block an RSS feed

In some cases, Google News might block a feed. That could happen if you are:

• Using Google News feeds for profit or to increase traffic to your site

• Reformatting news results so they look like your own content

• Changing, editing, or creating works based on content from Google News
