A Victorian man is dead after a fireworks accident in Gippsland during New Year's Eve celebrations.
Emergency services were called to an area overlooking the beach in Hollands Landing, near Sale, about 9.35pm following reports of a man injured by a firecracker.

Two dead with firework related injuries

Paramedics began treating the 46-year-old man from Springhurst in northeastern Victoria for upper body injuries but he died at the scene.
An arson chemist is due to attend the site on Sunday morning to investigate the cause of the deadly accident.
On the NSW Central Coast, a man was killed after he was hit in the head by a firework at Budgewoi Beach.
The Hollands Landing accident was not the only call Ambulance Victoria received about people injured by fireworks overnight.
In Drouin, west Gippsland, paramedics treated a man in his 20s for facial burns sustained from a firecracker. He was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, in South Morang, a teenager was lucky to escape with just minor injuries after he was hit in the face by fireworks.
In the Melbourne CBD, paramedics responded to more than 100 calls for assistance between 8pm and 2am, mostly relating to minor assaults, slips and falls.
One man in his 40s was taken to hospital with leg injuries after he fell about three metres from a lamp post on Princes Bridge.
Ambulance Victoria state events co-ordinator Andy Watson said the public were mostly well behaved.
"The public appeared to have enjoyed a great start to 2017 and in the right spirit," he said.
"While our workload has been up, most of the incidents we have been called to have not been serious."
Victoria Police is set to reveal how many arrests were made across the state and in the Melbourne CBD during New Year's Eve celebrations around midday.
