Serena Williams is engaged to Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of social news aggregation and discussion website, Reddit.
The former world No.1 tennis player announced the news in a poem posted on an "r/isaidyes" forum she created herself.

Tennis star Serena Williams has announced she will marry Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
"I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome," Williams wrote.
"To escort me to my very own 'charming.' Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance. But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes."

Ohanian, using his verified username "kn0thing" commented in reply, "And you made me the happiest man on the planet."
The announcement was accompanied by a cartoon of the pair.
Ohanian subsequently confirmed the news on his Facebook page.
Williams and Ohanian's romance was first reported by Us Weekly back in October last year. However, both parties kept their relationship out of the press and off social media, not engaging with the rumours.
Their relationship came after Williams was rumoured to be dating rapper Drake over the northern summer of 2015.
So, who is Alexis Ohanian? He co-founded Reddit in 2005, selling it to Conde Nast in 2006, well before its peak and presumably for a lot less than it is worth now. He has remained involved with the site, serving as its executive chairman for a period.
He has since become somewhat of a geek activist. He was one of the tech celebrities lobbying against the US Stop Online Piracy Act in 2012.
He has also been involved with US tech initiative, Black Girls Code.
