Balboa may refer to:
Robert "Rocky" Balboa, Sr. is the title character of the Rocky series. The character was created by Sylvester Stallone, who also portrayed him in all seven Rocky films. He is depicted as an everyman who started out by going the distance and overcoming obstacles that had occurred in his life and career as a professional boxer. He is loosely based on Chuck Wepner, a one-time boxer who fought Muhammad Ali and lost. However, the fight went on with Wepner lasting for several rounds before being finally defeated.
The character is widely considered to be Stallone's most iconic role together with John Rambo, and is often considered the role that started his film career. He received critical acclaim for his performance in the first movie, earning Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations, although reception for the sequels was less positive. When Stallone reprised his role once again in 2015 for Creed, his performance received wide acclaim and he received his first Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, along with his third Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, the National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actor and several other accolades.
Sylvester Gardenzio "Sly" Stallone (/stəˈloʊn/; Italian pronunciation: [(ɡarˈdɛntsjo) stalˈloːne]; born July 6, 1946) is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. He is well known for his Hollywood action roles, particularly boxer Rocky Balboa, the title character of the Rocky series' seven films from 1976 to 2015; soldier John Rambo from the four Rambo films, which ran from 1982 to 2008; and Barney Ross in the three The Expendables films from 2010 to 2014. He wrote or co-wrote most of the 14 films in all three franchises, and directed many of the films.
Stallone's film Rocky was inducted into the National Film Registry as well as having its film props placed in the Smithsonian Museum. Stallone's use of the front entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Rocky series led the area to be nicknamed the Rocky Steps. Philadelphia has a statue of his Rocky character placed permanently near the museum. It was announced on December 7, 2010 that Stallone was voted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the non-participant category.
Rocky is a 1976 American sports drama film directed by John G. Avildsen and both written by and starring Sylvester Stallone. It tells the rags to riches American Dream story of Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but kind-hearted working class Italian-American boxer working as a debt collector for a loan shark in the slums of Philadelphia. Rocky starts out as a small-time club fighter, and later gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship. The film also stars Talia Shire as Adrian, Burt Young as Adrian's brother Paulie, Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer Mickey Goldmill, and Carl Weathers as the champion, Apollo Creed.
The film, made on a budget of just over $1 million and shot in 28 days, was a sleeper hit; it earned $225 million in global box office receipts, becoming the highest grossing film of 1976, and went on to win three Oscars, including Best Picture. The film received many positive reviews and turned Stallone into a major star. In 2006, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". Rocky is considered to be one of the greatest sports films ever made and was ranked as the second-best in the genre, after Raging Bull, by the American Film Institute in 2008.
Antonio Deon Tarver (born November 21, 1968) is an American professional boxer. Nicknamed the "Magic Man", he is a former WBC, WBA (Super), IBF and The Ring magazine light heavyweight champion, as well as a former IBO cruiserweight champion.
As an amateur, Tarver won a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division while representing the United States at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, eventually losing to Vassiliy Jirov, whom he had previously defeated at the 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships. He also captured the gold medal at the 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Berlin, just two months after having triumphed by also winning gold at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata; Tarver also won gold at the United States national amateur boxing championships in 1995. Tarver is the first (and to date, only) fighter to have ever won gold in the Pan Am Games, World Amateur Championship, and US National championship all in the same year.
In 2006, Tarver starred as Mason "The Line" Dixon, the heavyweight champion in the film Rocky Balboa.

Set to 1080p and fullscreen for EPIC quality! I have uploaded the entire scene to get the right feel behind it but you can skip to 1:53 if you just want to see the epic part
The tragedy and mystery repeats like a farce
A carousel of laughter as it all falls apart
History sits in holding pattern
As vultures circle our carcass
Pinned down I can't touch you
Like tableaux in wax that won't melt
Turn around and turn to stone
This mistake cost me a lifetime
Heave into yourself
Breathe out my life
What catastrophic mediocrity
What you are I once was
What I am now you will be
So proud of the bloody roots
Of this rhythm
