Removal of offline mode means I won't use this app as much

I started using hype machine for all my music after I found myself listening to music on it more than the music app. The layout is excellent and it's easy to find great music. But with the latest update removing offline mode, I won't be using the app as much. I work in areas with bad cell reception and I used offline mode all the time to prevent roaming data charges and listen to music with no reception. I understand if there's legal reasons to remove it, but it's still very disappointing and takes a couple stars off for me since that was a huge draw of this app.

Removed features, added Ads

I purchased this app quite some time ago because it was a good mix of features and stood out from the crowd of other streaming apps. This latest patch reverses that.

Offline playback has now been removed. This was a defining feature for the app. While I understand the reason for the removal, it doesn't go well with the next patch update--ads.

The app now has ads. Why did I pay for this app only to have ads included later on? That seems a bit greedy. While I am happy to pay for an app, I am not happy with the idea of mandatory ad revenue. I've already paid you once, why are you now making money off me again? And there's no option to remove ads for customers who previously paid? That's just blatant opportunism.

So that's the gist of this one star rating. Removed features and implemented ads. That's a definite step backwards...which deserves a bad review and an uninstall.

Unfortunate

I have been using this app for years now, and even bought a poster from their website. To hear that I am expected to see ads now (because the app is now free so no ads means zero monetization on newbies) for an app I paid for and have been loyal to is disappointing. I realize it may be tough to cover costs, but putting the burden on the users who have previously paid for the app when it is now free for the above stated reason is bad business. I saw on their website that they are working on backpedaling to no ads again but before they do that I'll stick to apple music.
