The 47-year-old allegedly threw his own faeces at two police officers as they tried to stop him running away from Peel Health Campus on Christmas Eve, Nine News Perth reported.
He was still hooked up to medical equipment at the time.
Two days later, while in custody on Boxing Day, he was transported to Royal Perth Hospital to see a doctor.
"When staff tried to x-ray him... they too were allegedly attacked," Nine News Perth reporter Alice Pooley said.

The WA Police Union released a statement on Tuesday stating it was very concerned about Spratt's behaviour. Â
"Spratt's aggressive behaviour has escalated to the point that numerous police officers and medical staff have allegedly been assaulted by him in separate incidents," the statement read.

"WAPU understands that some of the alleged assaults against police officers include Spratt spitting, biting and throwing human excrement, necessitating mandatory blood tests."
Mr Spratt was Tasered by police officers 41 times in a week in 2008.

The officers involved were subject to a corruption inquiry and found guilty of assault.
Mr Spratt is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, facing nine charges of assaulting a public officer and one charge of assaulting a person working in a hospital.
He will also face court again in January, charged with a further five assault charges against a public officer.
Nine News Perth reported Mr Spratt was still seeking a significant compensation payment for the 2008 incident which the government was considering.Â
