Dinanath Shastri (Shastriji), the head of his family, is an astrologer and lives in his Vasai mansion with his domestic help, Vishnu. Madhusudan, his elder son, stays with his wife Vasudha and daughter Priya who has done a Diploma in Fine Arts. Madhusudan runs a very successful coaching class. Madhusudan's younger sister Kusum too lives with them. His younger son Adinath works in America. Adinath is expected to arrive the next day. His mother Vasudha is excited about his return. Madhusudan has recently shifted to their new house, which is a surprise for Adinath. There is a `Vastu Shanti puja' (house warming ceremony) in their new house. The priest performing the `puja', notices fumes coming out of a room. When he opens the door, he finds Adinath's aunt Kusum performing some strange rituals. She looks at him in a weird manner. Before going home, Adinath and his fianc ulekha meet in a restaurant. Sulekha and Adinath had fallen in love while chatting on the internet. Meanwhile at Vasai, Grandpa Sopan gets a nightmare and blabbers something, and instantly goes back to sleep. Shastriji tells Vishnu that Grandpa Sopan is still alive at the age of 90 because destiny has something in store for him. Adinath arrives home and meets everyone. He apologizes to his mother for coming late. He announces to his family that he and Sulekha have decided to get married irrespective of their horoscopes matching or not. Shastriji calls up Adinath and tells him that the horoscopes do match and they can get married. Everyone feels relieved. Shastriji tells Vishnu that even though Adinath's horoscope is matching, he is feeling scared and skeptical about something. The priest freezes on seeing Kusum staring at him.
Rama Seth has a conversation with Adinath, and praises Shubhra for her singing and cooking abilities. Mai insists Adinath to come and have lunch with them. Adinath comes to Shubhra's house. Madhusudan calls up Adinath to ask about his wellbeing. Adinath is surprised to know that Madhusudan had not informed Sulekha about his accident. He assumes that his sister Priya must've told her. Shubhra asks Adinath what motivated him to accept their lunch invitation. Adinath wonders too. Meanwhile, Priya finds a couple of black beads kept in Adinath's bedroom. Priya and Vasudha assume that the beads must've been kept by Kusum. Vasudha decides to speak to their family priest about it. Shubhra sings a classical song on Adinath's request. Adinath is very impressed and asks her about how she learnt music. Shubhra tells him that though she has learnt music from her father and teacher, the song she sang for him was learnt in her dream. Adinath laughs over it but when he sees that Shubhra is serious, he believes her and finds it intriguing. Shubhra goes to drop Adinath and they have a conversation where Adinath tells her that he too feels that he has met her before. Priya tells Shastriji about whatever has happened since Adinath's return from America.

Chandrakant is preparing to leave for Mumbai but Prathamesh insists on meeting Shubhra before leaving. Radha agrees. Vishnu takes Adinath and Shubhra to a temple. Vishnu adds that around 60 years ago, the cave had suddenly disappeared. However, Shubhra suddenly says that the cave had collapsed, and then wonders what made her say so.

Asambhav
Asambhav is a Bollywood action thriller directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by Gulshan Rai under Trimurti Films banner. The film was released on 23 July 2004, starring Arjun Rampal and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. Naseeruddin Shah is featured as the villain with Dipannita Sharma, Tom Alter, Milind Gunaji and Sharat Saxena playing supporting roles among others. The film was shot entirely in Switzerland.
Rajiv Rai had previously worked with Arjun Rampal in Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat (2001) .Rai signed him for a second time for Asambhav in 2002. The work on the movie had begun in 2002 when he started to create his new project and titled it Asambhav. Aishwarya Rai was initially signed to act as Rampal's heroine but was replaced by Priyanka Chopra. Legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah was cast as the villain. The shooting of the film began in June 2003 and it took two months to complete the shooting. The shooting was completed in September 2003. It was the first Indian film to be graded digitally on Luster.

The priest performing the `puja', notices fumes coming out of a room. When he opens the door, he finds Adinath's aunt Kusum performing some strange rituals. She looks at him in a weird manner. Before going home, Adinath and his fianc ulekha meet in a restaurant. Sulekha and Adinath had fallen in love while chatting on the internet. Meanwhile at Vasai, Grandpa Sopan gets a nightmare and blabbers something, and instantly goes back to sleep.
