A Mandurah woman has 100,000 reasons to celebrate after scooping the top prize on a $20 scratchie.
Bought at a Halls Head newsagency on Friday, the winning ticket, worth $100,000, was a thrilling surprise for the local woman, who wished to remain anonymous.
Speaking to the Mandurah Mail, the woman said she had been in shock since her big win.
"To say it's been surreal is an understatement," she said.
"I wish everyone could experience this happiness.
"If I hadn't suggested chocolate chips in the pancakes for breakfast, that scratchie would have been making someone else happy.
"It just happened to go to someone in debt up to their eyeballs."
