American Quarter Horse Association
The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), based in Amarillo, Texas, is an international organization dedicated to the preservation, improvement and record-keeping of the American Quarter Horse. The association sanctions many competitive events and maintains the official registry. The organization also houses the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum and sponsors educational programs. The organization was founded in 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas and now has nearly 350,000 members. The AQHA approves of horse slaughtering as a last resort for unwanted animals.
History
The American Quarter Horse Association was born at a meeting on March 15, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas. The original idea had come from articles published by Robert M. Denhardt during the 1930s about the history and characteristics of the quarter horse. In an article entitled "The Quarter Horse, Then and Now" in a 1939 Western Horseman magazine, Denhardt also suggested that those interested in forming a breed registry meet in Fort Worth to discuss the idea and hopefully act on the idea. About seventy-five people met in Fort Worth to discuss the proposals, with the eventual decision being to form a non-profit stock holding association in Texas to be the registry. Thirty-six people bought stock at the initial meeting. A board of directors and officers were selected.

World championship
A world championship is generally an international sports competition open to elite competitors from across the world, representing their nations, and winning such an event will be considered the highest or near highest achievement in the sport or contest.
The title is usually awarded through a combination of specific contests or, less commonly, ranking systems (e.g. the ICC Test Championship), or a combination of the two (e.g. World Triathlon Championships in Triathlon). This determines a 'world champion', who or which is commonly considered the best nation, team, individual (or other entity) in the world in a particular field, although the vagaries of sport ensure that the competitor recognised at the best in an event is not always the 'world champion' (see Underdog).
Certain sports do not have a world championship, instead they may organise a world cup competition, or they may organize both. Often, the use of the term cup or championship in this sense is just a choice of words. Some sports have multiple champions because of multiple organizations such as mixed martial arts, boxing and wrestling.

Many horses are being ridden in pain which can cause dangerous behaviors leading to serious injury. This can be easily fixed by having a basic knowledge of proper saddle placement and fitting. Although not an exhaustive teaching,, this video covers the necessary basics of Western saddle fit. I promoted Impact Gel pads in the video which were, at the time, the best pad technology I knew of. RA goes beyond the sunshine and the sprawl to explore LA's underground scene.
LA's reputation precedes itself. Around the world, Hollywood looms large, presenting America's second-biggest city as a land of palm trees, red carpets and celebrities. This couldn't be further than the truth. As Mahssa Taghinia of Mount Analog puts it, LA is a "geographical memoir, there's no truth or falsehood really, everybody's idea of LA is very personal." There is an escapist bent to the place, and many artists find a small patch of paradise to hole up and work on music.
Of course, that lifestyle and the so-called "Autopia," criss-crossed by freeways inhabited by single-driver cars, can be incredibly isolating. People cling to the communities fostered by record stores, radio stations and raves. The endless expanse of the city provides warehouse space for promoters pushed underground by a 2 AM curfew. Since the early '90s, artists from around the world have flown to LA every weekend to play back-alley spots whose locations remain unannounced until a few hours before the party starts. The word-of-mouth aspect of these events reflects a large trend in the city: so much of what LA has to offer happens behind closed doors. Our latest Real Scenes film tries to take you there, documenting a scene as thriving as it is elusive.
