How to Make and Apply Tilaka
ISKCON devotees generally make their tilaka from a cream-colored clay called gopi-candana, made from the mud of Vrindavan. You can most likely obtain this in a packed form from your local temple or supplier of devotional items. If you are unable to find it, you can even use potters' clay or earth from beneath a tulasi plant.
Put a little water in the palm of your left hand and move your block or ball of tilaka clay briskly until you get a smooth paste. As you do this, chant Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
Apply tilaka with the ring finger of your right hand. Make a mark—about as wide as the space between your eyebrows—from the root of your nose to your hairline. Now use the same finger, perhaps the little one, to make a clear space in the middle to form two vertical lines. You can also use a clean cotton cloth to make the inside space neat. Now make the leaf- shaped mark, which should extend from the base of the lines to about three quarters of the way down the nose.
After marking your forehead, apply tilaka to eleven other places on your body like this. You can use your fingers to do it or you can use stamp which has the shape of tilak.
As you apply the tilaka, recite the appropriate names of Vishnu. Om keshavaya namah means "O my Lord Keshava, I offer my respectful obeisance unto You." So as we mark our bodies, we chant twelve of His holy names.

If you can't find the clay to make tilaka (or if your wearing tilaka wouldn't sit well with your boss), you can go through the same procedure using only water. Use water that has bathed the Deity or pure water you've sanctified by chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. By chanting the names of the Lord and applying the invisible representation of His temple, you'll be protected and spiritually inspired for a Krishna conscious day.

The local King has surrounded himself with enemies, which include his own trusted men: Bhavani Singh, and Ranjeet, who plot to overthrow him, in vain, as the King's loyal employee, Samadh Khan, and the King's brother-in-law, Arjun Singh, come to his rescue. But events take an unfortunate turn when the King's newborn son is abducted by Jalal Khan, for which Samadh Khan is branded a traitor, is arrested, but escapes dramatically. After abducting the newborn prince, Jalal turns him over to the Sardar of a local gypsy band, and loses consciousness. The queen is distraught over the disappearance of her son, and Arjun offers his son in exchange, which she accepts. But Bhavani finds out about this, and switches his son with that of Arjun Singh. Years later, the Prince, Shamsher Singh, has grown up, and like Bhavani is a tyrant, womanizer and alcoholic. He soon imprisons his very own mother until such time she announces that he is to be the new king, and inflicts all kinds of atrocities on the people in the region, in her name. Arjun attempts to intervene, but is branded a traitor, and imprisoned. Will the real prince surface now to set things right? Or will he continue to live the life of a gypsy without knowing his true heritage.

Tilaka
In Hinduism, the Tilaka is a mark worn usually on the forehead, sometimes other parts of the body such as neck, hand or chest. Tilaka may be worn on a daily basis or for rites of passage or special religious occasions only, depending on regional customs.
The term also refers to the South Asian ritual of marking someone's forehead with a fragrant paste, such as of sandalwood or vermilion, as a welcome and expression of honor when they arrive.
Description of the tilaka
The tilaka is a mark created by the application of powder or paste on the forehead. Tilakas are vertical markings worn by Vaishnavites. The Vaishnava tilaka consists of a long vertical marking starting from just below the hairline to almost the end of one's nose tip, and they are also known as Urdhva Pundra. It is intercepted in the middle by an elongated U. There may be two marks on the temples as well. This tilaka is traditionally made with sandalwood paste.
The other major tilaka variant is often worn by the followers of Shiva and the different forms of Devi Shakti known as Rudra-tilaka and it's also most commonly known as Tripundra. It consists of three horizontal bands across the forehead with a single vertical band or circle in the middle. This is traditionally done with sacred ash from fire sacrifices. This variant is the more ancient of the two and shares many common aspects with similar markings worn across the world. Many worshippers of Shakti will wear a rectangular mark of kumkuma on the forehead.

Plot: Rajeshwar belongs to a wealthy family, and is the only son of Dharamraj, who is an industrialist, and partners with Naglingam Reddy, Nagendra, and Dhanraj. Rajeshwar meets Bharati, who comes from a very poor family, and falls in love with her. Bharati's father is a schoolteacher, Vishnupratap, and has also to beg for food house to house to make ends meet. Bharati initially does not reciprocrate Rajeshwar's affection, but when she realizes that he really does love her, she too falls in love with him. Bharati's has a neighbor, Tilak, who is unemployed, and lives with his mother, Sharda, who works as a maidservant in a rich family's house. Tilak falls in love with the daughter, Rani, of this rich family. Both Rajeshwar and Tilak dislike each other. Then Dharamraj gets killed, and the evidence points towards Tilak. Tilak is arrested and unless he can gather evidence that clears him, he may face the death sentence.

ISKCON devotees generally make their tilaka from a cream-colored clay called gopi-candana, made from the mud of Vrindavan. You can most likely obtain this in a packed form from your local temple or supplier of devotional items. If you are unable to find it, you can even use potters' clay or earth from beneath a tulasi plant.
Put a little water in the palm of your left hand and move your block or ball of tilaka clay briskly until you get a smooth paste. As you do this, chant Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
Apply tilaka with the ring finger of your right hand. Make a mark—about as wide as the space between your eyebrows—from the root of your nose to your hairline. Now use the same finger, perhaps the little one, to make a clear space in the middle to form two vertical lines. You can also use a clean cotton cloth to make the inside space neat. Now make the leaf- shaped mark, which should extend from the base of the lines to about three quarters of the way down the nose.
After marking your forehead, apply tilaka to eleven other places on your body like this. You can use your fingers to do it or you can use stamp which has the shape of tilak.
As you apply the tilaka, recite the appropriate names of Vishnu. Om keshavaya namah means "O my Lord Keshava, I offer my respectful obeisance unto You." So as we mark our bodies, we chant twelve of His holy names.

oṁ nārāyaṇāya namaḥ (navel)
oṁ mādhavāya namaḥ (chest)
oṁ govindāya namaḥ (throat)
oṁ viṣṇave namaḥ (right side of the navel)

If you can't find the clay to make tilaka (or if your wearing tilaka wouldn't sit well with your boss), you can go through the same procedure using only water. Use water that has bathed the Deity or pure water you've sanctified by chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
