Here's a brief video tour of one of the new Bova Cottages at Allegany State Park taken Jan 31st, 2015. This would also represent 13 of the new Parallel Cottages on the Quaker side. These are (28) new full service cottages on both sides of the park and feature a full kitchen and bath and all are ADA compliant (handicap accessible) Two bedrooms spacious living & kitchen area with cathedral ceilings and are 900 square feet.
This is a documentary about a rare and successful environmental campaign -- to keep a "low level" nuclear waste dump out of NY. This campaign was so successful, the entire siting project, which had a national scope, was abandoned. Shaleshock Media is very pleased to present this documentary, and asks the modern Shale-Gas movement to take lessons from history. This internet presentation is dedicated to Spike Jones.

Port Allegany, Pennsylvania
Port Allegany is a borough in McKean County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,355 at the 2000 census.
The town's tree-lined streets lie in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, 30 miles west of the Allegheny River's headwaters.
History
Originally known as Canoe Place, the town’s name was changed to Port Allegany in 1838.
The town developed as a port on the Allegheny River, and provided a place where travelers coming overland from the Susquehanna River could continue by boat.
Lumber and tanning industries grew, and a railway later passed through the town.
In the 1800s natural gas was discovered in the area, which led to the expansion of industries including glass firms, chemical plants, cheese factories, machine shops, brick plants, sawmills, planing mills, tanneries and furniture factories.
Today, Port Allegany is best known for its glass manufacturing. Located here are Pittsburgh Corning Corporation, the only producer of glass blocks in the United States, as well as Saint-Gobain, a glass container producer.
