It can be hard to figure out what to get your mum and dad for Christmas. Candles and chocolates are unoriginal and boring. Maybe that’s why this couple decided to pull off the ultimate surprise gift.

Ben and Hannah Hinders, who live in Hawaii hadn’t seen their family and friends who live in Florida for around ten months, reports Kidspot. It turns out, that was just enough time for them to get pregnant and keep it a complete secret until the baby was born.

The couple filmed the reactions of their family and friends as they turned up with baby Ivy in tow. The heartwarming video shows the disbelief and shock as everyone realises what is happening.

“Oh my goodness, who is this? No …. This is your baby? Hannah,” one relative says in the video.

Most of them think they are being pranked or that the couple have adopted the baby, no one can quite believe it.

“We brought you a granddaughter! We thought you needed one,” Hannah announces to her stunned father.

Hannah’s sister is overcome with tears as they hand her the baby.

“This is your first niece,” Hannah announces. ‘We told you we were going to bring you something.”

Well, they certainly pulled it off, but a lot of commenters still don’t exactly know why they decided to do it. Ben wrote on Youtube that it’s quite simple.

“Well, we live so far away, so it wouldn’t have changed things too much? Perhaps brought even more worry and anxiousness? But trust me, many people have asked the same. My wife got the idea to bring the best surprise of all for our families, and bless them. And it worked! But it’s definitely not been all easy or all good. Still, in hindsight we’d do it all over again.”
