Lambert Hillyer (July 8, 1893 – July 5, 1969) was an American film director and screenwriter. He directed more than 160 films between 1917 and 1949. He also wrote 54 films between 1917 and 1948. He was born in South Bend, Indiana and died in Los Angeles, California. His mother was film character actress Lydia Knott.
