Funny cat photos, trending news stories, and the best discussions on the internet—these are just a few of the awesome things the official Reddit app does best.
On Reddit, there’s a community for every subject imaginable: your favorite sports team, relationship advice, memes, the latest in news and politics—all in real time.
And if you like gifs (or jifs, jiffys, glyphs, ifs, however you choose to mispronounce it), we’re positive you'll love it.
What’s that you say, girl? “What about a community dedicated solely to images of cats standing on their hind legs?”
We got that, too.
Whether you’re into movies or space travel, baking or weight training, cheesy dad jokes or more NSFW humor, world news or Hollywood gossip—or all of the above—you can instantly share your content and ideas with an audience of millions.
We’re not saying Reddit is like all your favorite apps put together. But if we were saying that, we’d tell you it has:
• the trendy headlines of Twitter
• the educational content of Quora
• the viral pics of Memebase and Imgur
• the jokesters of Tumblr
• the lols of 9GAG and theCHIVE
• the cringeworthy personal stories of FML and Fail Blog
• the rage comics of fourchan
• and the powerful, human stories found only on Reddit.
(Oops, we went full circle.)
So the next time you’re bored and need a break—wait, you’re bored right now? Why are you still reading this? Download the app already!
Those cats won’t stand on their hind legs forever...

Too easy It's too easy. My fingers glide through the app entering different aspects of it without any push back. As my fingers make my way through the app I can feel myself enjoying it more and more. My eyes at times can hardly handle what's in front but at the same time I am transfixed. I usually only last maybe 5 minutes in and I eventually climax and have to close the app but people say that's average. Please try it out, you won't ragret it.

Nice Interface Runs pretty decent and has a nice, clean, interface. However, it will, at times, decide not to allow gif images to load. This is not source specific, all gifs will fail to load fully when this happens. Reloading app does not seem to fix, so you just have to wait it out. Minor nuisance in a relatively well-executed app. :) Five stars if fixed.

Good app for the most part The app is pretty good. Only complaint is recently they made it super easy to collapse posts. 9 times out of 10 when trying to click a link I collapse the post instead. Never had this issue a few updates ago, wish they would give an option to disable that.

Crashes way too often I have to hand it to Reddit, their official app has forced me to interact with my family more. By incessantly crashing, and I mean incessantly, it made me watch TV with my wife. It crashes while scrolling, crashes while loading, crashes while reading comments. Once it crashed while submitting a crash report. I've taken to emailing them with each crash instance. Will update when I get a response. Update: still buggy but tolerable. Crashes less often. Probably better off with "Reddit is fun"

This app was rushed Honestly I want to give this a 1 star. Only reason I haven't is because I still want this to work. It honestly has so many flaws and lack of features it's disgusting. Not being able to delete post, constantly crashing along with several post and editing options not working. There is also the reddit page to view submited links doesn't work for most post or never loads. For a place where programmer's and web junkies go, this is a horrible product from you. Not sure how this passed QA.

10/10 Couldn't Get Any Better Very quick to pick up, hard to put down consequently. Customizable so you can see what you want to see and by far one of the friendliest user interfaces I've ever come in contact with.

Do you know the definition of perfection? Initially, when you first visit the website reddit, there is a lot of negative things about it. Many people who, enjoy the pain of others. I am one of them and, I gotta say, this app is perfect for me. It gives meany features that help me keep up to date with my favorite subreddits and users. 11/10, would not uninstaller for a large game again.
why take out features? ever hear if it ain't broke don't fix it? why would you remove the ability to see upvotes/downvotes in your my comments tab. you have no way to view your own comments anymore through the post unless you scavenge through hundreds of other comments
Barely functional? Comments wont load, subreddits wont load or eont expand to older posts when the bottom is reached. This is horrible, i want Alien Blue! I am using a samsung s7 edge with a very fast wifi connection.
The app never saves how far down you've scrolled. So if you close the app 15 pages down you lose progress. Additionally it frequently struggles to load gif videos. Probably 90% of the time. Overall just a poor experience. No advantage to reddit is fun at all.
dont fix whats not broken Anyway, I love this app. its easy and efficient. However some features such as tapping names to hide comment threads can become extremely annoying if they comment a link and you try to click it.
Minor issues A few issues. Other reddit apps allow preview pics to be downloaded over WiFi only, this doesn't. Also the link address will sometimes show the wrong website. Other than that, no problems
Almost perfect My only gripe is that *before* I got an account and signed in, you could go into the main menu and see a long list of subreddits to view, but once you log in, that same button changes to only showing you r/all, with no other subreddits shown. If you log out, the menu comes back. Can you fix this so you can see the list when logged in? How is anyone supposed to easily find new subreddits without seeing a list of what's available?
Decent app Overall good app, but don't like that sometimes when I search for forums they don't show up. I'll search again, and then it will come up. Not sure if it's user error or something related to the app.
Search function constantly not working A lot of times when search in a subreddit, it just doesnt work. No search results come up. And it says to try again.. frustrating
Watered down and slow. Not completely broken, but I'd rather just use chrome. Missing the most basic of features you would expect from a Reddit app. No notifications, the messages section is unintuitive. Trying to click a link in a comment often closes the comment instead. Posts just won't load half the time, but if you open them in chrome, they load instantly.
LOSES PLACE IN FEED A LOT LIKE A LOT. No reverse portrait. I reached the "end" of the feed. never happens with some "other" reddit viewing apps hit back too many times=feed reset. deceptive, vague misleading deceitful advertising. Just use a 3rd party reddit App. With the advertisements, the official reddit app really has no advantage over 3rd party reddit apps. Reddit is turning into facebook.
User Friendly I only recently started getting hooked on reddit, so I figured getting the app to read on the go made sense. I'm usually REALLY hesitant about dloading website apps but I love how simple and easy to use this app is.
Good 5/7 Really great app! Just one thing though, the links on the comments are hard to click. Every time I click on a link it is an endless loop of collapsing and expanding before I get to the link. Anyways love the app.
Just OK It's pretty good for being new, but definitly needs more. I'll be keeping my rif app instead because it has filtering and I like being able to easily see what links I've already read when they turn purple.
Great app but... On iOS I had alien blue which seems better? Can it be that comment and content karma are shown in the user profile? Or that when I tap on an old comment it takes me to the comment itself like alien blue did not just the whole thread
Easy Rider Fresh, easy and not clingy. Use this app as you wish. It demands nothing from you. No notifications, no number bubble attached to its icon. Quite convenient. No need to feel pressured as other media outlets prescribe.
Apart from a few glitches, pretty good Little things, like the sources displaying incorrectly as I scroll down, detract only a small amount from my enjoyment of the app. Mostly I find it smooth, fast, and reliable. I almost don't notice the app as I use it, which is really the benchmark for excellence.
/u/spez is a joke. Banning people for trying to investigate something the govt and media is ignoring. He even allows pedophile subreddits to exist while censoring and banning ones who are actively trying to expose pedophiles. Aaron Shwartz the founder of your site would be ashamed
Always will have love for reddit Reddit is basically a Facebook or Twitter except you only get to see what you want or follow just like twitter. The exception is, the people on reddit. Although it has been increasing in more ignorant people, reddit has always had funnier and just more genuine people on it.
Annoying when opening links Good app but when opening a link it won't take you back into the app by pressing the back button. Only thing wrong with it!
It's a fun site but the app is annoying I hate that if I click to view my own comments on a thread it doesn't take me directly to it and I have to spend quite a while scrolling to find it again. It's decent otherwise but they need to incorporate features into the app to make it worthwhile.
Dumbed Down IPhone Version For some reason they took out the button to download images that they have in iphone. Pressing and holding doesnt work the majority of the time. Takes up to 30 seconds of constantly pressing and holding to get results. The images are also zoomed in while scrolling and you have to click on it to see it fully, unlike the iPhone version where the full image is displayed. After a few pages it won't load anymore, some videos/gifs won't load at all.
Swipe to hide? Why is there no setting to decide what swiping does? Why does side swiping cards do nothing? Clearly it should hide things off your feed
Have only found one tiny problem yet A function where if you click on the tag e.g SFW it tells you what it is. That would be very useful but otherwise great!
Best one yet I've probably tried every third party reddit app, and this one beats them all. Sometimes it struggles to load gifs-- can't tell if it's just a issue with size, but otherwise everything I could ask for in a reddit app
Getting better! Previous issues with crashes and gifs not loading seems to be fixed. Overall a good app and all I can think of to improve is to add more preloading while scrolling.
Great! Only lacking subscription editing Love it! And like the cleanliness and ease of use when on the phone. Though I found i still had to go to reddit website to be able to edit my subs properly. Only thig lacking from an otherwise nice app that made my reddit browsing easier rather than less convenient (which many apps to replace browser pages fail to do so i usually stick to going on Chrome anyways but not this one)
I would give it more stars, but I am annoyed that it is forcing me to rate it. You know you're good, what is your obsession with my validation? What does my opinion even mean? What is life?
I love it, no problems I've noticed, its nothing difficult to figure out and it runs really smoothly. The only thing I don't like is that you have to hunt for your comments
A solid app for my favorite platform The Reddit app does a great job of letting you browse the entire website and discover new subreddits. I can't recommend it enough.
Great app My most frequented app it truly is amazing. Sometimes it refreshes on its own when i return from links and it can be annoying, especially when I'm really far down my front page.
Works pretty well...but missing a few key features There should be an option to open a link in an external program (like Chrome, YouTube, Imgur, etc.) Instead of opening it in a web browser. There should also be a way to save where you are on the front page if you go to a different app. It's annoying to have to scroll down for ages to get back to where you were. Also, lately comments have not been loading at all on any post I view.
Too addictive App is decent, lacks some features of actual site but still. However Reddit itself is just too... Well, Reddit. It's not good for you, so can't in good conscience give it a high rating.
Great App I thoroughly enjoy using this app to view Reddit posts. It sometimes behaves weird and will bring me to a seemingly random page or it will sometimes crash. Other than that its awesome.
