Eagles Rest is the perfect escape for a weekend. Just 90 minutes south of Sydney is the beautiful township of Berry. known for its arts, craft and food - Berry is nestled just inland from the magnificent Seven Mile Beach and the mountains to the west. It is upon Woodhill Mountain - some 350m above sea level - that you will find Eagles Rest.

Less than 10 minutes up the mountain road and you might as well be a million miles away from everything. As you enter the property through the gates the house is still a small journey yet well not that far, a few hundred metres, allowing for the last few stresses of modern living to fall away.

The first glimpse of Eagles Rest impresses you with size. It is a large home that is almost 75m from end to end. Five bedrooms three with en suites all with fantastic Queen one King beds disappear into a house that is meant for people to gather, celebrate, rest and relax.

There are two indoor eating areas - one that seats 8 in formality, the other that seats an incredible 14 with ease and that's before the 8 seater outside on the deck. Accompanying the range of eating areas are two lounge/TV rooms both with Foxtel - Satellite service.

The smaller lounge room adjoins the large indoor fireplace and can happily seat 2 in the love chair through to 8 if company is preferred. This area is also ideal for the kids - with DVD player & Sony Play Station on call to amuse.

The larger lounge is in The Great Room - at the eastern most part of Eagles Rest. This is where everyone can gather in their own space - with easily enough space for 20 people. The room is surrounded by glass folding doors that open fully on a warm day, with views through 180 degrees from Gerrora to Nowra - and all the magnificence in between. Equipped with full kitchen, walk in pantry big enough to house everything you could possibly want, Bose entertainment system and super size flat screen TV - its the place to be from dawn which erupts through the windows to dazzle every morning to the stillness on a dark winters night.

A deck runs run the entire house, and connects you to the double garage at the western end of the property. The ground level has an 2m pool table to pass a few hours, and upstairs in the loft are beds to sleep a further 10 people on those big family weekends loft available for an extra $200 a night.

Adjoining the garage is enough parking for up to 2 cars 6 more outside on ground, and as you leave that area and head into the trees further west there is a small deck area ideal for yoga, meditation of just a moment of tranquility.

- a range of clothing temperature varies a bit on the mountain, even in summer; and

- your personal toiletries

We provide all the linen and towels - and of course all the things you need to make Eagles Rest your home for a few days

Linen Included

We include all linen and towels in the rental fee and there is a cleaning cost is which covers laundering. The home should be left neat and tidy as per when you moved in, any extra cleaning required to return the home to original condition will be deducted from the bond

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lynda from Absolutely Amazing No words can describe the most amazing time that was spent here. We were gathered from around the world together at this house and shared lots of happy memories with lots of laughter. The house was filled from the 5 bedrooms inside the house to the whole of the loft and everyone was comfortable. Every convenience was accommodated from clean towels,shampoo, conditioner and hairdryers in every bathroom, clean linen on every bed and a well stocked kitchen of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, dishwashing detergent as well as washing powder if you needed to do a load of washing. A lot of our time was spent gathered round the roaring log fire on the deck and admiring the spectacular views. My whole family and guests loved staying here and we have started making plans to come again. Thank you to Michael and family for the use of your beautiful home, it will be a cherished time that we will never forget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicky from Absolutely Stunning! Our family thouroughly enjoyed three nights at Eagles Rest and found the property nothing short of amazing. There were so many different areas we could gather (or hide for some peace!) and plenty of space for the kids to hang out in the loft or run around the grounds. The home is very well equipped with everything you could ask for and is perfect for entertaining for large groups - there were 20 of us. The views and the sunrise are absolutely stunning. I can recommend a glass of wine on the balcony in front of the fire. The only problem was we had to leave! Thank you Michael for sharing your home, we hope to return again :)

Despite the rain and mist we had so much space to enjoy ourselves and have a most memorable time. We are all working out when we can come back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emily from Brilliant house and location This property was perfect for our group of 19. The Grand Room was always abuzz, but there was more than enough room for people to find their own space to relax. The location of the house is also fantastic. We stayed 3 nights at Eagles Rest, with a lot of time spent exploring Berry, 7 Mile Beach, and Brogers creek. There were a lot of comments upon leaving about wanting to stay for longer next time. We ran out of time and didn't get to do all the things we wanted, so hope to be back again to fit in a few walks! And a huge thanks to Michael for being such a welcoming and communicative for the entirety of our stay.
