Over the years, since taking over the Hermetic Library, I’ve been bemused that I’ve been called enigmatic, anonymous, mysterious, and various other similar epithets as the Librarian. I’ve come to joke about myself as having a secret identity … the Enigmatic Super Villain known only as the Librarian!

The Hermetic Library has an overall vision of Archiving, Engaging and Encouraging the living Western Esoteric Tradition. Beginning in 2011, I started the benefit anthology project to help promote newer works in the Western Esoteric Tradition to the audience of the Hermetic Library and beyond. The anthology project also further raises awareness about the corpus and culture of magick and ritual.
Please join the Hermetic Library in promoting these works and the participants who have contributed to this benefit anthology project. All proceeds from anthology sales support the library to help cover hosting costs and other expenses like materials acquisitions.

Wow, we do a lot of work on this site transcribing and editing! But, it’s what we enjoy doing. You know that question, “What would you be doing if making a living didn’t matter?” Well, this is it.
Then again, making a living doing what you love is an ideal to be sought after. So, maybe you could use our attention to detail for your project? We can take on simple or complex editing and revision tasks, from simply doing transcription to get your words from audio or scan into a digital format all the way to offering our expertise and experience evaluating your writing in order to offer suggestions and corrections. There are ad banners around the site, on many pages. So, simply by using the site you can support The Hermetic Library. However, we’ve teamed up Project Wonderful to help enable more relevant ads to be placed on the site than were available with some other networks. (Frankly, we got really tired of some of the ads from huge national corporations with no interest in or relevance to the site!) This lets us create a way that having ads on the site is also very much about supporting the wider community. Now our advertising helps the community reach out to each other.
