Lesley Barber's Manchester By The Sea
5-Nov-2016 - Milan Records will release Manchester By The Sea, the story of Lee Chandler who is a brooding, irritable loner who works as a handyman for a Boston apartment block. One damp winter day he gets a call summoning him to his hometown, north of the city. His brother’s heart has given out suddenly, and he’s been named guardian to his 16-year-old nephew. The soundtrack album elegantly blends original score by Toronto-based composer Lesley Barber and classical music pieces by masters such as Georg Fridric Handel and Jules Massenet. Fresh off her invitation to join the Motion Picture Academy, Ms. Barber delivers, what most will consider, her best work to date. Beautifully harmonized vocal performances, recurring at key intervals, represent only one of the many memorable moments of her achievement.
Available from Amazon.com, Amazon UK, Amazon France and Amazon Germany.
Rupert Gregson-Williams' Hacksaw Ridge
2-Nov-2016 - Varèse Sarabande has released Hackshaw Ridge both digitally and on CD on November 4, 2016. The album features the original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams. Hackshaw Ridge is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during one of the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong. As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers and was wounded by a grenade and hit by snipers. Doss was the first conscientious objector awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

John Swihart's First Girl I Loved
9-Oct-2016 - Lakeshore Records will release First Girl I Loved with music by John Swihart and winner of the Best of NEXT Audience Award at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. But when Anne tells her best friend Clifton (Mateo Arias) about her new crush, he reveals a hidden jealousy that threatens more than just the girls’ budding romance. Writer/director Kerem Sanga tells this remarkably touching story with a multifaceted style that is as fresh as it is daring. 11-Aug-2016 - Lakeshore Records to release the Richard Linklater: Dream Is Destiny soundtrack, available digitally on August 5. The CD is available only through Amazon Disc-On-Demand. The music is by composer Graham Reynolds. A feature-length documentary on the life and work of filmmaker, Richard Linklater. Produced and Directed by Louis Black (founder of SXSW Festivals and the Austin Chronicle), this documentary for PBS’ American Masters series is an unusual look at a fiercely independent style of filmmaking that arose from Austin, Texas in the 1980s/ early 90’s. It is an unconventional look at how Linklater’s films of that period, Slacker, Dazed and Confused and Before Sunrise, sparked a low budget, in your own backyard movement in this country and around the world.

The recording was produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer Mikel F. Krutzaga.
