Road test

This week I try ... a Camera-Ready facial

The lowdown With Christmas festivities closing in, maintenance is high on the agenda. Therapist Lowri is introducing me to the CameraReady facial. I'm more than ready.

After a relaxing cleanse to prep my skin, hydro-microdermabrasion water jets exfoliate my slightly sensitive skin. Next comes a 20 per cent lacticacid peel tailored specifically to my skin that felt pretty tingly; after this was removed, Lowri massaged in a deliciously cooling infusion of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid. As a finishing touch, I have a 20-minute healing hit of my beloved Omnilux deep-penetrating white light.

Pain factor For a treatment that gets such great results, the only slightly uncomfortable bit was the stinging of the lactic-acid peel.

Downtime One hour.

Results My skin pinked up during the session, but it settled within an hour. The beauty of this treatment is its targeted exfoliation and amped-up hydration. My skin looked really refined afterwards.

How can I make my blush look more natural?

After applying your blush, blend and soften it with a fl at-profile buffing brush that's been dipped in your foundation. This will give you the perfect hint of healthy colour. Try Zoeva 104 Buffer brush, $32, sephora.com.au.
