Motorbike rider killed south-east of Perth

A motorbike rider has been killed in Jerramungup, about 450km south-east of Perth on Thursday.

The crash happened at about 1pm on the South Coast Highway.

The male rider was taken to the local Jerramungup hospital but died a short time later.

Meanwhile, a car has crashed into an ambulance in Burswood on Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred just after 4.30pm on Shepperton Road.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said the paramedics were fine but that the driver of the car that crashed into their vehicle had gone into cardiac arrest.

The driver was taken to hospital under "priority one" road conditions. Their condition is not yet known.

A second patient who was on board the ambulance when it was crashed into was transferred into another ambulance and also taken to hospital.
