    New edition of The Editors’ Codebook announced by the Editors’ Code Committee

    A new guide to the Editors' Code of Practice has been published by the committee responsible for creating the Code. The handbook sets the Code in context and highlights best practice and key IPSO adjudications. It is intended to help members of the public considering making a complaint, and editors facing a difficult decision on a story which might give rise to a breach of the Code, by providing examples of how IPSO has approached similar cases in the past.

IPSO helps to uphold professional standards in journalism. We monitor our members' compliance with the Editors' Code, provide guidance and training, and can carry out standards investigations where we believe there have been serious and systemic breaches of the Code.
