Since 2010, Dutch band Ortega's hypnotizing melding of intense doom, sludge, post metal and drone has resulted in a series of excellent releases such as the sublime heaviness of The Serpent Stirs. The bands latest Sacred States has to be their best yet and while it retains the sheer heaviness of their earlier work, it has a slightly more accessible edge to it resulting in a mesmerizing and masterful piece of work and guests on the album from the revered Primitive Man and Gnaw Their Tongues add elements to the already huge Ortega experience. The darkness of humanity is a subject that has long been explored in the worm of Ortega and this continues on Scared States, with the sheer intensity of the music and the roar of vocalist Richard (which are both non-stop on the album) acting as a mirror to the horrors of the world. Sacred States commences with the murkiness of Strong Eye and this opening track opens you up to the abyss that is Ortega. This sprawling track, like the majority of the music of Ortega is at times unsettling but never anything other than engaging and will have your full attention from the start.
Tracks that follow such as the empowering heaviness and hypnotizing riffs and grooves of Maelstorm and Descending Ladders are just as powerful as the opening salvo and the power that the songs conjure up is undeniable and shows that with this album Ortega have unleashed an even more severe heaviness and furious ascendancy to their music, while also bringing the right amount of intense melody to the proceedings. The inclusion of the epic Crows allows the album to take a bit of change of pace and the songs brooding nature brings the heaviness from another angle with its post metal passages interacting with the sludge and doom in the track to mesmerizing effect and this a track that just builds and builds until it reaches the most all consuming of crescendos to end what is a truly brilliant song.
Sacred States concludes with the aptly title Void and finishes the album in such a perfect fashion that you can't imagine it ending in any other way, the song is an epic lesson in intensity and harshness that basks in an air of negativity throughout but also includes moments of true beauty (the soaring psychedelic riffs towards the end of the track allow it to take on an air of life affirming glory) although it finishes as only it could, in a swathe of negative anger and a fall into nothingness. Comparisons to the likes of Neurosis and Amenra are perhaps inevitable as the band have similar influences, directions and outlooks as these two behemoths but Ortega have their own style, own sound and own vibe and are perhaps even heavier than the two but the fact that comparisons are drawn to these giants of heavy music is an indication of how huge this album is. Sacred States is an intense listen but all the more rewarding for it, with this album Ortega have created a piece of work that encapsulates the overwhelming darkness of the world and humanity itself.

2015 saw Damian Lazarus create his most ambitious project to date in The Ancient Moons, producing a full length album ‘Message From The Other Side’ with a wide assortment of vocalists and collaborators from around the world. Sacred Geometry ~ The Geometry of Consciousness. Ever since I was struck with the realization that all things were connected, Sacred Geometry has been a gateway to a new awareness of the world in my life. The door to the 3rd eye, which only makes sense as the pineal gland is the lens for awareness of geometry and patterns in our physical bodies.
I've also seen a lot of people who have said they really get a lot out of the sacred geometry Spirit Science episodes... and so I thought we'd put together something special for you. A way for you to get the WHOLE download, all at once, without constantly having to flip between videos.
Sacred Geometry is the representation of the patterns that exist around and through all things. The repeating patterns life takes, the technological patterns we've made as well, patterns of the stars and celestial bodies. I suppose the question that we're truly asking here is - are the patterns random, or is there a force that flows through them?
What is it that makes all of these different species across ALL life follow the exact same patterns, over and over? As you're about to see in this video, so far all of the signs point to consciousness.
It is the building blocks by which reality is created, and its so much more than that.

Since 2010, Dutch band Ortega's hypnotizing melding of intense doom, sludge, post metal and drone has resulted in a series of excellent releases such as the sublime heaviness of The Serpent Stirs. The bands latest Sacred States has to be their best yet and while it retains the sheer heaviness of their earlier work, it has a slightly more accessible edge to it resulting in a mesmerizing and masterful piece of work and guests on the album from the revered Primitive Man and Gnaw Their Tongues add elements to the already huge Ortega experience. The darkness of humanity is a subject that has long been explored in the worm of Ortega and this continues on Scared States, with the sheer intensity of the music and the roar of vocalist Richard (which are both non-stop on the album) acting as a mirror to the horrors of the world. Sacred States commences with the murkiness of Strong Eye and this opening track opens you up to the abyss that is Ortega. This sprawling track, like the majority of the music of Ortega is at times unsettling but never anything other than engaging and will have your full attention from the start.
Tracks that follow such as the empowering heaviness and hypnotizing riffs and grooves of Maelstorm and Descending Ladders are just as powerful as the opening salvo and the power that the songs conjure up is undeniable and shows that with this album Ortega have unleashed an even more severe heaviness and furious ascendancy to their music, while also bringing the right amount of intense melody to the proceedings. The inclusion of the epic Crows allows the album to take a bit of change of pace and the songs brooding nature brings the heaviness from another angle with its post metal passages interacting with the sludge and doom in the track to mesmerizing effect and this a track that just builds and builds until it reaches the most all consuming of crescendos to end what is a truly brilliant song.
Sacred States concludes with the aptly title Void and finishes the album in such a perfect fashion that you can't imagine it ending in any other way, the song is an epic lesson in intensity and harshness that basks in an air of negativity throughout but also includes moments of true beauty (the soaring psychedelic riffs towards the end of the track allow it to take on an air of life affirming glory) although it finishes as only it could, in a swathe of negative anger and a fall into nothingness. Comparisons to the likes of Neurosis and Amenra are perhaps inevitable as the band have similar influences, directions and outlooks as these two behemoths but Ortega have their own style, own sound and own vibe and are perhaps even heavier than the two but the fact that comparisons are drawn to these giants of heavy music is an indication of how huge this album is. Sacred States is an intense listen but all the more rewarding for it, with this album Ortega have created a piece of work that encapsulates the overwhelming darkness of the world and humanity itself.

2015 saw Damian Lazarus create his most ambitious project to date in The Ancient Moons, producing a full length album ‘Message From The Other Side’ with a wide assortment of vocalists and collaborators from around the world. They went on to support Roisin Murphy on tour, gain acclaim from the likes of Dazed & Confused and Lazarus became the final coverstar of the year in the UK”s Mixmag magazine.
Now the tracks from ‘The Other Side’ have been reinterpreted by an assortment of stars, from techno stalwarts Juan Atkins & Kimyon Huggins, to German experimental talent Kölsch, and Acid Pauli’s sprawling fusion of weirdness. The original material is ploughed in new and surprising directions by Black Butter’s own Gorgon City and Mehmet Asian, resident at Berlin’s infamous Wilde Renate club.

Ever since I was struck with the realization that all things were connected, Sacred Geometry has been a gateway to a new awareness of the world in my life. The door to the 3rd eye, which only makes sense as the pineal gland is the lens for awareness of geometry and patterns in our physical bodies.
I've also seen a lot of people who have said they really get a lot out of the sacred geometry Spirit Science episodes... and so I thought we'd put together something special for you. A way for you to get the WHOLE download, all at once, without constantly having to flip between videos.
Sacred Geometry is the representation of the patterns that exist around and through all things. The repeating patterns life takes, the technological patterns we've made as well, patterns of the stars and celestial bodies. I suppose the question that we're truly asking here is - are the patterns random, or is there a force that flows through them?
What is it that makes all of these different species across ALL life follow the exact same patterns, over and over? As you're about to see in this video, so far all of the signs point to consciousness.
It is the building blocks by which reality is created, and its so much more than that.

When little-known Playmates Toys, Inc. was approached about producing a TMNTs action
figure line, they were cautious of the risk and requested that a television deal be
acquired first.[13][14] On December 28, 1987, the TMNT's first cartoon series began,
starting as a five-part miniseries and becoming a regular Saturday-morning syndicated
series on October 1, 1988, with 13 more episodes. The series was produced by
Murakami-Wolf-Swenson Film Productions, Inc. (later Fred Wolf Films). Mirage Studios
does not own the rights to this cartoon series. The show places a much stronger emphasis
on humor than the comics do. Here, the Ninja Turtles are portrayed as four wise-cracking,
pizza-obsessed superheroes that fight the forces of evil from their sewer hideout, and they
make their first appearance in masks color-coded to each turtle, where previously they had
all worn red.
Starting on September 8, 1990 (with a different opening sequence), the show began its run on
CBS. The CBS weekend edition ran for a full hour until 1994, initially airing a few
Saturday-exclusive episodes back-to-back. Also, a brief "Turtle Tips" segment aired between
the two episodes, which served as public-service announcement about the environment or other
issues. After 1994, the show was reduced to just a half-hour and only eight episodes per
season were produced, grouped into a "CBS Action Zone" block that also featured WildC.A.T.s.
and Skeleton Warriors, both of which were canceled after one season; though TMNTs retained their
"Action Zone" introduction.

When little-known Playmates Toys, Inc. was approached about producing a TMNTs action
figure line, they were cautious of the risk and requested that a television deal be
acquired first.[13][14] On December 28, 1987, the TMNT's first cartoon series began,
starting as a five-part miniseries and becoming a regular Saturday-morning syndicated
series on October 1, 1988, with 13 more episodes. The series was produced by
Murakami-Wolf-Swenson Film Productions, Inc. (later Fred Wolf Films). Mirage Studios
does not own the rights to this cartoon series. The show places a much stronger emphasis
on humor than the comics do. Here, the Ninja Turtles are portrayed as four wise-cracking,
pizza-obsessed superheroes that fight the forces of evil from their sewer hideout, and they
make their first appearance in masks color-coded to each turtle, where previously they had
all worn red.
Starting on September 8, 1990 (with a different opening sequence), the show began its run on
CBS. The CBS weekend edition ran for a full hour until 1994, initially airing a few
Saturday-exclusive episodes back-to-back. Also, a brief "Turtle Tips" segment aired between
the two episodes, which served as public-service announcement about the environment or other
issues. After 1994, the show was reduced to just a half-hour and only eight episodes per
season were produced, grouped into a "CBS Action Zone" block that also featured WildC.A.T.s.
and Skeleton Warriors, both of which were canceled after one season; though TMNTs retained their
"Action Zone" introduction.
