There has been an outpouring of support from the Canberra hospitality industry for bride-to-be Lauren Bailey.
Ms Bailey and her fiance were left without a reception venue this week, just 10 weeks out from their wedding, when The Lobby Restaurant in Parkes unexpectedly announced it would close.
Ms Bailey said she was "shocked" on Wednesday morning to hear a number of venues had reached out via email and on social media to help out however they could.
"I actually can't [believe it]. I thought I might be labelled a bridezilla or something like that," she said.
"It makes me feel happy really - and hopeful."
Pialligo Estate, Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Capital Hotel Group, Hotel Rex, Broadbean Catering and Psychedeli Cafe and Catering were among those wanting to help out Ms Bailey and any other couples affected by the closure.
Offers even came from as far away as Solar Springs at Bundanoon.
Andy Day from Sage Dining Rooms and Akiba was also quick to offer help, either at his venues or through his hospitality connections. With his own wedding coming up, Mr Day said he could imagine how stressful the situation would be.
"I am about five months from my own wedding that has taken everything short of an organ donation to finance and organise, so I feel completely for the affected brides, grooms and wedding guests," he said.
"It's not about business, it's about saving their day."
Ms Bailey and her fiance booked their wedding at The Lobby Restaurant a year in advance, giving their guests, who are all from interstate, a chance to book flights and accommodation.
It was only this week, on December 19 and less than three months before the big day, when they received an email from the venue, saying that it will cease to trade on January 14, 2017.
Ms Bailey believes "there might be a lot of brides in the [same] situation" given the popularity of The Lobby Restaurants for weddings.
She is in the process of visiting venues from the offers that have come through, and is still on the lookout for somewhere to host the reception on March 3, 2017.
