A glove (Middle English from Old English glof) is a garment covering the whole hand. Gloves have separate sheaths or openings for each finger and the thumb; if there is an opening but no covering sheath for each finger they are called "fingerless gloves". Fingerless gloves with one large opening rather than individual openings for each finger are sometimes called gauntlets.
Gloves protect and comfort hands against cold or heat, damage by friction, abrasion or chemicals, and disease; or in turn to provide a guard for what a bare hand should not touch. Latex, nitrile rubber or vinyl disposable gloves are often worn by health care professionals as hygiene and contamination protection measures. Police officers often wear them to work in crime scenes to prevent destroying evidence in the scene. Many criminals wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, which makes the crime investigation more difficult. However, the gloves themselves can leave prints that are just as unique as human fingerprints. After collecting glove prints, law enforcement can then match them to gloves that they have collected as evidence. In many jurisdictions the act of wearing gloves itself while committing a crime can be prosecuted as an inchoate offense.
Gloves are made of materials including cloth, knitted or felted wool, leather, rubber, latex, neoprene, and metal (as in mail). Gloves of kevlar protect the wearer from cuts. Gloves and gauntlets are integral components of pressure suits and spacesuits such as the Apollo/Skylab A7L which went to the moon. Spacesuit gloves combine toughness and environmental protection with a degree of sensitivity and flexibility.

Gloves appear to be of great antiquity. According to some translations of Homer's The Odyssey, Laërtes is described as wearing gloves while walking in his garden so as to avoid the brambles. (Other translations, however, insist that Laertes pulled his long sleeves over his hands.) Herodotus, in The History of Herodotus (440 BC), tells how Leotychides was incriminated by a glove (gauntlet) full of silver that he received as a bribe There are also occasional references to the use of gloves among the Romans as well. Pliny the Younger (c. 100), his uncle's shorthand writer wore gloves in winter so as not to impede the elder Pliny's work.
A gauntlet, which could be a glove made of leather or some kind of metal armour, was a strategic part of a soldier's defense throughout the Middle Ages, but the advent of firearms made hand-to-hand combat rare. As a result, the need for gauntlets also disappeared.
Pontifical gloves are liturgical ornaments used primarily by the pope, the cardinals, and bishops. They may be worn only at the celebration of mass. The liturgical use of gloves has not been traced beyond the beginning of the 10th century, and their introduction may have been due to a simple desire to keep the hands clean for the holy mysteries, but others suggest that they were adopted as part of the increasing pomp with which the Carolingian bishops were surrounding themselves. From the Frankish kingdom the custom spread to Rome, where liturgical gloves are first heard of in the earlier half of the 11th century.
When short sleeves came into fashion in the 1700s, women began to wear long gloves, reaching half-way up the forearm. By the 1870s, buttoned kid, silk, or velvet gloves were worn with evening or dinner dress, but long suede gloves were also worn during the day and when having tea.
In 1905 The Law Times made one of the first references to the use of gloves by criminals to hide fingerprints, stating: For the future... when the burglar goes a-burgling, a pair of gloves will form a necessary part of his outfit.

Some argue that religious life is the best way to live. They claim life without a god is sad and depressing. Statements like "I could not imagine my life without God", and "My life would be meaningless without God", are common defenses for a religious life. The following is a list of advantages atheists enjoy over a religious life. I invite the religious viewers to submit a response video with the advantages of a religious life.
Atheists can make moral decisions based on the specific context. Having absolutes like "Though Shall not Lie" stops people from thinking for themselves and making the right decision based on the situation at hand. In what situation would be okay to lie? Most religious people would say, never. Atheists would disagree. For example: If you were living in Germany hiding Jews in your attic during the holocaust, and Hitler's Nazis knocked on your door and asked if you were hiding Jews, would it be okay to lie to save the lives of the Jews in your attic? I believe trying to save their lives would the moral and proper choice. Atheists have the power to do what's right for all humanity, rather than the forced perspective of doing what is right for a god.
Atheists can experience healthy outrage at the outrageous without fear of questioning God's plan. We can be outraged when a friend dies of a horrible disease, or is killed in a car accident. It is okay to be upset at disasters and horrible events. It is not a part of any plan. It is just a horrible event. Atheists try to learn from them and not just chalk it up to God's Plan. We use science to understand catastrophic events like hurricanes, and tsunamis. This gives us the ability to save lives. If we think a magical plan is going to happen no matter what, then why try to stop the events or make things better. Atheists do not wonder if a god is punishing us. Yes, there is cause and effect, and our actions effect how we live, you should save for retirement, and if your diet is bad you'll end up fat, or sick, or both. But if an airplane part falls on your house, it is an accident. If you find a 5 dollar bill on the sidewalk, it is an accident. No magical intervention, no magical wrath, these are just accidents. Life has an element of chance. This may not seem comforting, but here is another way to look at it: Your loved one dies in a completely random car accident where nobody could possibly be blamed. Is it more comforting to know the accident happened because of bad luck or is better to think the accident could have been prevented by an omnipotent being that could have stepped in and saved them from an untimely death, but your god decided to just let them die? You don't have to be frustrated thinking "Was it because I didn't pray enough?" "Was God mad at me or them?" "Maybe I should have prayed more." Atheist take comfort in knowing there is no plan.
Atheist can be friends with everyone without having the thought in the back of their mind that this person's lifestyle may be evil. You have the power to accept people for what they are. Enabling you to enjoy their quirks rather than chastise them for being unique. Atheists can have relationships with people who have alternative lifestyles without feeling like they have to save them from some deity that is going to condemn them for being themselves. After all, if there was a creator, then he has made everyone the way they are. Atheists don't fear that a large part of the earth's population is going to hell for being true to themselves.
Atheists do not live with the fear of hell. This is one of the hardest things for religious people to shake and one of the best rewards. Religious people love the thought of heaven, but fear hell as a consequence. In order to lose the fear of hell, you have to let go of the false hope of heaven. Atheists have done both.
Atheists raise freethinking children; let them pick a religion, or none. What would you have picked? This is hard for parents. If a child wanted to be another religion, or even atheist, it would be devastating to most religious parents. Why not teach them about all religions and tell them why you believe the one you do, and then let them choose? Atheists do not force atheism on their children. We simple let them see the evidence for and against religion and let them make up there own mind. They may change there mind several times. This is okay. Atheists love their children no matter what belief they are drawn too. That is the beauty of free thinking. You can raise your children according to your values without feeling as though you have to defend Bible stories that even a child can see are fiction.

Toxicity is the degree to which a substance can damage an organism. Toxicity can refer to the effect on a whole organism, such as an animal, bacterium, or plant, as well as the effect on a substructure of the organism, such as a cell (cytotoxicity) or an organ such as the liver (hepatotoxicity). By extension, the word may be metaphorically used to describe toxic effects on larger and more complex groups, such as the family unit or society at large.
A central concept of toxicology is that effects are dose-dependent; even water can lead to water intoxication when taken in too high a dose, whereas for even a very toxic substance such as snake venom there is a dose below which there is no detectable toxic effect. Toxicity is species-specific, making cross-species analysis problematic. Newer paradigms and metrics are evolving to bypass animal testing, while maintaining the concept of toxicity endpoints.
There are generally four types of toxic entities; chemical, biological, physical and radiation:
1. Chemical toxicants include inorganic substances such as, lead, mercury, hydrofluoric acid, and chlorine gas, and organic compounds such as methyl alcohol, most medications, and poisons from living things. While some radioactive substances are also chemical toxicants, many are not: radiation poisoning results from exposure to the ionizing radiation produced by a radioactive substance rather than chemical interactions with the substance itself.
2. Biological toxicants include bacteria and viruses that can induce disease in living organisms. Biological toxicity can be difficult to measure because the "threshold dose" may be a single organism. Theoretically one virus, bacterium or worm can reproduce to cause a serious infection. However, in a host with an intact immune system the inherent toxicity of the organism is balanced by the host's ability to fight back; the effective toxicity is then a combination of both parts of the relationship. A similar situation is also present with other types of toxic agents.
3. Physical toxicants are substances that, due to their physical nature, interfere with biological processes. Examples include coal dust, asbestos fibers or finely divided silicon dioxide, all of which can ultimately be fatal if inhaled. Corrosive chemicals possess physical toxicity because they destroy tissues, but they're not directly poisonous unless they interfere directly with biological activity. Water can act as a physical toxicant if taken in extremely high doses because the concentration of vital ions decreases dramatically if there's too much water in the body. Asphyxiant gases can be considered physical toxicants because they act by displacing oxygen in the environment but they are inert, not chemically toxic gases.
4. Radiation can have a toxic effect on organisms.

Background: The Masquelet technique for the reconstruction of diaphyseal bone defects combines induced membranes and cancellous autographs to regenerate bone loss and restore function.
The Masquelet reconstruction requires a two-staged approach. At the first operation, radical soft tissue and bone debridement is undertaken. Then a polymethylmethacrylate cement spacer is implanted at the site of the bone defect and the limb is stabilized with an external fixator. The inert PMMA cement spacer prevents fibrous tissue invasion of the recipient site and induces formation of a surrounding membrane. Finally, in the first stage of the Masquelet technique, the soft tissue envelope is repaired. At the second surgery, (~2 months later), the cement spacer is carefully removed ensuring that the formed induced membrane is minimally disturbed and the defect is filled with morselized bone graft and the bone is stabilized by fixation.
Living biocomposites of bone and cartilage can be grown on InstaBone and lay the foundation for ultimate replacing lost or damaged bone and cartilage due to injury or disease.. HI to the good Human Beings out there. Here it is, three weeks after nearly being killed with Lorsban, the carnage and toxicity is clear. A neighbor's large goldfish got killed, inside the house. Fish are very weak to that poison.
No longer here at all, or, if any, very few:
Bugs: Bees, wasps, ladybugs, praying mantis, aphids, lacewings, spittle bugs, ants, hornets, flies, mosquitos, gnats, white flies, dragonflies and more.
Birds: Magpies, hawks, vultures, sparrows, swallows, finches, Great Horned owls, and many more.
Birds, less than 1% of normal.
Bugs, 1/1000000 of what was here.
No coyotes, no squirrel family in backyard oak tree, no frogs, no bats, much more again.
So quiet...just those few robins and a couple doves about it for birds. First hummingbird to show up, about four or five days ago, seen about a dozen, sniff and they are gone. Toxic nectar...
I was just outside while this was uploading, just after sunset, a warm night and the moon is full. And not a sound, not one cricket. Their numbers have seemed less and less of this terrible time. Now, none this evening.

This amazing beauty, active, peaceful, schooling fish aquarium, which is also referred to as the rainbow or the blue of the Congo. This fish species is representative of the African tetras, which back in 1899m, was described by biologist Boulanger.
Habitat:
Congo tetra is common in Africa. Wild populations are endemic to the Congo Basin in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
These fish stay in flocks in the river water. At the same time, in the wild they consume mainly representatives of crustaceans, insects, and various types of zooplankton and phytoplankton. Most fish available in the trade are bred for sale in Asia and Eastern Europe.

Grey Hornbill as seen in Rashtrapati Bhavan- The President's estate.
In June 2013, a pair of Indian Grey Hornbills was found to be nesting along the Nature Trail within the Rashtrapati Bhavan. While seeing hornbills in Delhi is not a rare occurrence, seeing a nesting pair is indeed good news as it is not a frequent occurrence! This particular hornbill nest was on a Neem tree and rather unusual in that the nest cavity is almost facing upwards to the sky. The birds were nesting late in the summer season and the rains had started by the time the chicks had hatched. The chicks inside must have been inundated by the first few showers of the monsoons!
Another anomaly is that four Hornbills were seen visiting this nest to feed the chicks. We had no idea that Hornbills had a community practice of bringing up chicks.... Can anyone explain this behaviour?
Also, a Common Myna has been seen frequently visiting the nest-hole. Was it trying to stake out its previous territory, scavenging for leftovers or what? Was it actually feeding the chicks?
In one shot, the Hornbill was feeding the chicks with what appeared to be a small stem. Can anyone explain this behaviour?

The Indian Grey Hornbill (Ocyceros birostris) is a common hornbill found on the Indian subcontinent. It is mostly arboreal and is commonly sighted in pairs. They have grey feathers all over the body with a light grey or dull white belly. The horn is black or dark grey with a casque extending up to the point of curvature in the horn. They are one of the few hornbill species found within urban areas in many cities where they are able to make use of large avenue trees.
This rare footage of a Grey Hornbill (Tockus birostris) nesting with the grounds of Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, goes to show that despite being in a bustling city, given the right habitat and nesting conditions (old trees with suitable nest-holes), a bird such as the Indian Grey Hornbill will afford us the rich sight of urban nidification!
The finely forested grounds, and parkland of the Indian President's Estate at Rashtrapati Bhavan affords this bird just the right habitat, feed and cover - a rare oasis in a bustling and burgeoning city...
Known as lamdour, dhanesh or chalotra in India, the Hornbill is a shy and retiring bird that loves the cover of tall trees. The hornbill is somehow symbolic of wild country and well preserved forests!

The Indian Grey Hornbill is a medium-sized hornbill, measuring around 61 cm (24 in) in length. The upperparts are greyish brown and there is a slight trace of a pale supercilium. The ear coverts are darker. The flight feathers of the wing are dark brown and whitish tipped. The tail has a white tip and a dark subterminal band. They have a red iris and the eyelids have eyelashes. The casque is short and pointed. The male has a larger casque on a dark bill while the culmen and lower mandible are yellowish. The bare skin around the eye is dark in the male while it is sometimes pale reddish in females. The female has a more yellowish bill with black on the basal half and on the casque. The juveniles lack the casque and the bare skin around the eye is dull orange.

Large cardinal
In the mathematical field of set theory, a large cardinal property is a certain kind of property of transfinite cardinal numbers. Cardinals with such properties are, as the name suggests, generally very "large" (for example, bigger than the least α such that α=ωα). The proposition that such cardinals exist cannot be proved in the most common axiomatization of set theory, namely ZFC, and such propositions can be viewed as ways of measuring how "much", beyond ZFC, one needs to assume to be able to prove certain desired results. A disease is a particular abnormal condition, a disorder of a structure or function, that affects part or all of an organism. The causal study of disease is called pathology. Disease is often construed as a medical condition associated with specific symptoms and signs. It may be caused by factors originally from an external source, such as infectious disease, or it may be caused by internal dysfunctions, such as autoimmune diseases. In humans, "disease" is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, or death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes, infections, isolated symptoms, deviant behaviors, and atypical variations of structure and function, while in other contexts and for other purposes these may be considered distinguishable categories. Diseases usually affect people not only physically, but also emotionally, as contracting and living with a disease can alter one's perspective on life, and one's personality.

Gloves have separate sheaths or openings for each finger and the thumb; if there is an opening but no covering sheath for each finger they are called "fingerless gloves". Fingerless gloves with one large opening rather than individual openings for each finger are sometimes called gauntlets. Gloves protect and comfort hands against cold or heat, damage by friction, abrasion or chemicals, and disease; or in turn to provide a guard for what a bare hand should not touch. Latex, nitrile rubber or vinyl disposable gloves are often worn by health care professionals as hygiene and contamination protection measures. Police officers often wear them to work in crime scenes to prevent destroying evidence in the scene. Many criminals wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, which makes the crime investigation more difficult. However, the gloves themselves can leave prints that are just as unique as human fingerprints. After collecting glove prints, law enforcement can then match them to gloves that they have collected as evidence. In many jurisdictions the act of wearing gloves itself while committing a crime can be prosecuted as an inchoate offense. Gloves are made of materials including cloth, knitted or felted wool, leather, rubber, latex, neoprene, and metal (as in mail). Gloves of kevlar protect the wearer from cuts. Some argue that religious life is the best way to live. They claim life without a god is sad and depressing. Statements like "I could not imagine my life without God", and "My life would be meaningless without God", are common defenses for a religious life. The following is a list of advantages atheists enjoy over a religious life. I invite the religious viewers to submit a response video with the advantages of a religious life. Atheists can make moral decisions based on the specific context. Having absolutes like "Though Shall not Lie" stops people from thinking for themselves and making the right decision based on the situation at hand. In what situation would be okay to lie? Most religious people would say, never. Atheists would disagree. For example: If you were living in Germany hiding Jews in your attic during the holocaust, and Hitler's Nazis knocked on your door and asked if you were hiding Jews, would it be okay to lie to save the lives of the Jews in your attic? I believe trying to save their lives would the moral and proper choice. Atheists have the power to do what's right for all humanity, rather than the forced perspective of doing what is right for a god. Atheists can experience healthy outrage at the outrageous without fear of questioning God's plan. We can be outraged when a friend dies of a horrible disease, or is killed in a car accident. It is okay to be upset at disasters and horrible events. It is not a part of any plan. It is just a horrible event. Atheists try to learn from them and not just chalk it up to God's Plan. We use science to understand catastrophic events like hurricanes, and tsunamis. This gives us the ability to save lives. If we think a magical plan is going to happen no matter what, then why try to stop the events or make things better. Atheists do not wonder if a god is punishing us. Yes, there is cause and effect, and our actions effect how we live, you should save for retirement, and if your diet is bad you'll end up fat, or sick, or both. But if an airplane part falls on your house, it is an accident. If you find a 5 dollar bill on the sidewalk, it is an accident. No magical intervention, no magical wrath, these are just accidents. Life has an element of chance. This may not seem comforting, but here is another way to look at it: Your loved one dies in a completely random car accident where nobody could possibly be blamed. Is it more comforting to know the accident happened because of bad luck or is better to think the accident could have been prevented by an omnipotent being that could have stepped in and saved them from an untimely death, but your god decided to just let them die? You don't have to be frustrated thinking "Was it because I didn't pray enough?" "Was God mad at me or them?" "Maybe I should have prayed more." Atheist take comfort in knowing there is no plan. Atheist can be friends with everyone without having the thought in the back of their mind that this person's lifestyle may be evil. You have the power to accept people for what they are. Enabling you to enjoy their quirks rather than chastise them for being unique. Atheists can have relationships with people who have alternative lifestyles without feeling like they have to save them from some deity that is going to condemn them for being themselves. After all, if there was a creator, then he has made everyone the way they are. Atheists don't fear that a large part of the earth's population is going to hell for being true to themselves. Atheists do not live with the fear of hell. This is one of the hardest things for religious people to shake and one of the best rewards. Religious people love the thought of heaven, but fear hell as a consequence. In order to lose the fear of hell, you have to let go of the false hope of heaven. Atheists have done both. Atheists raise freethinking children; let them pick a religion, or none. What would you have picked? This is hard for parents. If a child wanted to be another religion, or even atheist, it would be devastating to most religious parents. Why not teach them about all religions and tell them why you believe the one you do, and then let them choose? Atheists do not force atheism on their children. We simple let them see the evidence for and against religion and let them make up there own mind. They may change there mind several times. This is okay. Atheists love their children no matter what belief they are drawn too. That is the beauty of free thinking. You can raise your children according to your values without feeling as though you have to defend Bible stories that even a child can see are fiction. -

At the second surgery, (~2 months later), the cement spacer is carefully removed ensuring that the formed induced membrane is minimally disturbed and the defect is filled with morselized bone graft and the bone is stabilized by fixation. Living biocomposites of bone and cartilage can be grown on InstaBone and lay the foundation for ultimate replacing lost or damaged bone and cartilage due to injury or disease.. HI to the good Human Beings out there. Here it is, three weeks after nearly being killed with Lorsban, the carnage and toxicity is clear. A neighbor's large goldfish got killed, inside the house. Fish are very weak to that poison. No longer here at all, or, if any, very few: Bugs: Bees, wasps, ladybugs, praying mantis, aphids, lacewings, spittle bugs, ants, hornets, flies, mosquitos, gnats, white flies, dragonflies and more. Birds: Magpies, hawks, vultures, sparrows, swallows, finches, Great Horned owls, and many more. Birds, less than 1% of normal. Bugs, 1/1000000 of what was here. No coyotes, no squirrel family in backyard oak tree, no frogs, no bats, much more again. So quiet...just those few robins and a couple doves about it for birds. First hummingbird to show up, about four or five days ago, seen about a dozen, sniff and they are gone. Toxic nectar... I was just outside while this was uploading, just after sunset, a warm night and the moon is full. And not a sound, not one cricket. Their numbers have seemed less and less of this terrible time. Grey Hornbill as seen in Rashtrapati Bhavan- The President's estate. In June 2013, a pair of Indian Grey Hornbills was found to be nesting along the Nature Trail within the Rashtrapati Bhavan. While seeing hornbills in Delhi is not a rare occurrence, seeing a nesting pair is indeed good news as it is not a frequent occurrence! This particular hornbill nest was on a Neem tree and rather unusual in that the nest cavity is almost facing upwards to the sky. The birds were nesting late in the summer season and the rains had started by the time the chicks had hatched. The chicks inside must have been inundated by the first few showers of the monsoons! Another anomaly is that four Hornbills were seen visiting this nest to feed the chicks. We had no idea that Hornbills had a community practice of bringing up chicks.... Can anyone explain this behaviour? Also, a Common Myna has been seen frequently visiting the nest-hole. Was it trying to stake out its previous territory, scavenging for leftovers or what? Was it actually feeding the chicks? In one shot, the Hornbill was feeding the chicks with what appeared to be a small stem. Can anyone explain this behaviour? Known as lamdour, dhanesh or chalotra in India, the Hornbill is a shy and retiring bird that loves the cover of tall trees. They have a red iris and the eyelids have eyelashes. The casque is short and pointed. The male has a larger casque on a dark bill while the culmen and lower mandible are yellowish. The bare skin around the eye is dark in the male while it is sometimes pale reddish in females. The female has a more yellowish bill with black on the basal half and on the casque. The juveniles lack the casque and the bare skin around the eye is dull orange. Grey Hornbill regurgitates berries for its chicks
Grey Hornbill as seen in Rashtrapati Bhavan- The President's estate. In June 2013, a pair of Indian Grey Hornbills was found to be nesting along the Nature Trail within the Rashtrapati Bhavan. While seeing hornbills in Delhi is not a rare occurrence, seeing a nesting pair is indeed good news as it is not a frequent occurrence! This particular hornbill nest was on a Neem tree and rather unusual in that the nest cavity is almost facing upwards to the sky. The birds were nesting late in the summer season and the rains had started by the time the chicks had hatched. The chicks inside must have been inundated by the first few showers of the monsoons! A glove (Middle English from Old English glof) is a garment covering the whole hand. Gloves have separate sheaths or openings for each finger and the thumb; if there is an opening but no covering sheath for each finger they are called "fingerless gloves". Fingerless gloves with one large opening rather than individual openings for each finger are sometimes called gauntlets.
Gloves protect and comfort hands against cold or heat, damage by friction, abrasion or chemicals, and disease; or in turn to provide a guard for what a bare hand should not touch. Latex, nitrile rubber or vinyl disposable gloves are often worn by health care professionals as hygiene and contamination protection measures. Police officers often wear them to work in crime scenes to prevent destroying evidence in the scene. Many criminals wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, which makes the crime investigation more difficult. However, the gloves themselves can leave prints that are just as unique as human fingerprints. After collecting glove prints, law enforcement can then match them to gloves that they have collected as evidence. In many jurisdictions the act of wearing gloves itself while committing a crime can be prosecuted as an inchoate offense.
Gloves are made of materials including cloth, knitted or felted wool, leather, rubber, latex, neoprene, and metal (as in mail). Gloves of kevlar protect the wearer from cuts. Gloves and gauntlets are integral components of pressure suits and spacesuits such as the Apollo/Skylab A7L which went to the moon. Spacesuit gloves combine toughness and environmental protection with a degree of sensitivity and flexibility.

Gloves appear to be of great antiquity. According to some translations of Homer's The Odyssey, Laërtes is described as wearing gloves while walking in his garden so as to avoid the brambles. (Other translations, however, insist that Laertes pulled his long sleeves over his hands.) Herodotus, in The History of Herodotus (440 BC), tells how Leotychides was incriminated by a glove (gauntlet) full of silver that he received as a bribe There are also occasional references to the use of gloves among the Romans as well. Pliny the Younger (c. 100), his uncle's shorthand writer wore gloves in winter so as not to impede the elder Pliny's work.
A gauntlet, which could be a glove made of leather or some kind of metal armour, was a strategic part of a soldier's defense throughout the Middle Ages, but the advent of firearms made hand-to-hand combat rare. As a result, the need for gauntlets also disappeared.
Pontifical gloves are liturgical ornaments used primarily by the pope, the cardinals, and bishops. They may be worn only at the celebration of mass. The liturgical use of gloves has not been traced beyond the beginning of the 10th century, and their introduction may have been due to a simple desire to keep the hands clean for the holy mysteries, but others suggest that they were adopted as part of the increasing pomp with which the Carolingian bishops were surrounding themselves. From the Frankish kingdom the custom spread to Rome, where liturgical gloves are first heard of in the earlier half of the 11th century.
When short sleeves came into fashion in the 1700s, women began to wear long gloves, reaching half-way up the forearm. By the 1870s, buttoned kid, silk, or velvet gloves were worn with evening or dinner dress, but long suede gloves were also worn during the day and when having tea.
In 1905 The Law Times made one of the first references to the use of gloves by criminals to hide fingerprints, stating: For the future... when the burglar goes a-burgling, a pair of gloves will form a necessary part of his outfit.
Early Formula One race cars used steering wheels taken directly from road cars. They were normally made from wood, necessitating the use of driving gloves

Some argue that religious life is the best way to live. They claim life without a god is sad and depressing. Statements like "I could not imagine my life without God", and "My life would be meaningless without God", are common defenses for a religious life. Atheists can make moral decisions based on the specific context. Having absolutes like "Though Shall not Lie" stops people from thinking for themselves and making the right decision based on the situation at hand. In what situation would be okay to lie? Most religious people would say, never. Atheists would disagree. For example: If you were living in Germany hiding Jews in your attic during the holocaust, and Hitler's Nazis knocked on your door and asked if you were hiding Jews, would it be okay to lie to save the lives of the Jews in your attic? I believe trying to save their lives would the moral and proper choice. Atheists have the power to do what's right for all humanity, rather than the forced perspective of doing what is right for a god.
Atheists can experience healthy outrage at the outrageous without fear of questioning God's plan. We can be outraged when a friend dies of a horrible disease, or is killed in a car accident. It is okay to be upset at disasters and horrible events. It is not a part of any plan. It is just a horrible event. Atheists try to learn from them and not just chalk it up to God's Plan. We use science to understand catastrophic events like hurricanes, and tsunamis. This gives us the ability to save lives. If we think a magical plan is going to happen no matter what, then why try to stop the events or make things better. Atheists do not wonder if a god is punishing us. Yes, there is cause and effect, and our actions effect how we live, you should save for retirement, and if your diet is bad you'll end up fat, or sick, or both. But if an airplane part falls on your house, it is an accident. If you find a 5 dollar bill on the sidewalk, it is an accident. No magical intervention, no magical wrath, these are just accidents. Life has an element of chance. This may not seem comforting, but here is another way to look at it: Your loved one dies in a completely random car accident where nobody could possibly be blamed. Is it more comforting to know the accident happened because of bad luck or is better to think the accident could have been prevented by an omnipotent being that could have stepped in and saved them from an untimely death, but your god decided to just let them die? You don't have to be frustrated thinking "Was it because I didn't pray enough?" "Was God mad at me or them?" "Maybe I should have prayed more." Atheist take comfort in knowing there is no plan.
Atheist can be friends with everyone without having the thought in the back of their mind that this person's lifestyle may be evil. You have the power to accept people for what they are. Enabling you to enjoy their quirks rather than chastise them for being unique. Atheists can have relationships with people who have alternative lifestyles without feeling like they have to save them from some deity that is going to condemn them for being themselves. Some argue that religious life is the best way to live. They claim life without a god is sad and depressing. Statements like "I could not imagine my life without God", and "My life would be meaningless without God", are common defenses for a religious life. The following is a list of advantages atheists enjoy over a religious life. I invite the religious viewers to submit a response video with the advantages of a religious life.
Atheists can make moral decisions based on the specific context. Having absolutes like "Though Shall not Lie" stops people from thinking for themselves and making the right decision based on the situation at hand. In what situation would be okay to lie? Most religious people would say, never. Atheists would disagree. For example: If you were living in Germany hiding Jews in your attic during the holocaust, and Hitler's Nazis knocked on your door and asked if you were hiding Jews, would it be okay to lie to save the lives of the Jews in your attic? I believe trying to save their lives would the moral and proper choice. Atheists have the power to do what's right for all humanity, rather than the forced perspective of doing what is right for a god.
Atheists can experience healthy outrage at the outrageous without fear of questioning God's plan. We can be outraged when a friend dies of a horrible disease, or is killed in a car accident. It is okay to be upset at disasters and horrible events. It is not a part of any plan. It is just a horrible event. Atheists try to learn from them and not just chalk it up to God's Plan. We use science to understand catastrophic events like hurricanes, and tsunamis. This gives us the ability to save lives. If we think a magical plan is going to happen no matter what, then why try to stop the events or make things better. Atheists do not wonder if a god is punishing us. Yes, there is cause and effect, and our actions effect how we live, you should save for retirement, and if your diet is bad you'll end up fat, or sick, or both. But if an airplane part falls on your house, it is an accident. If you find a 5 dollar bill on the sidewalk, it is an accident. No magical intervention, no magical wrath, these are just accidents. Life has an element of chance. This may not seem comforting, but here is another way to look at it: Your loved one dies in a completely random car accident where nobody could possibly be blamed. Is it more comforting to know the accident happened because of bad luck or is better to think the accident could have been prevented by an omnipotent being that could have stepped in and saved them from an untimely death, but your god decided to just let them die? You don't have to be frustrated thinking "Was it because I didn't pray enough?" "Was God mad at me or them?" "Maybe I should have prayed more." Atheist take comfort in knowing there is no plan.
Atheist can be friends with everyone without having the thought in the back of their mind that this person's lifestyle may be evil. You have the power to accept people for what they are. Enabling you to enjoy their quirks rather than chastise them for being unique. Atheists can have relationships with people who have alternative lifestyles without feeling like they have to save them from some deity that is going to condemn them for being themselves. Then a polymethylmethacrylate cement spacer is implanted at the site of the bone defect and the limb is stabilized with an external fixator. The inert PMMA cement spacer prevents fibrous tissue invasion of the recipient site and induces formation of a surrounding membrane. Finally, in the first stage of the Masquelet technique, the soft tissue envelope is repaired. At the second surgery, (~2 months later), the cement spacer is carefully removed ensuring that the formed induced membrane is minimally disturbed and the defect is filled with morselized bone graft and the bone is stabilized by fixation.
Living biocomposites of bone and cartilage can be grown on InstaBone and lay the foundation for ultimate replacing lost or damaged bone and cartilage due to injury or disease.. HI to the good Human Beings out there. Here it is, three weeks after nearly being killed with Lorsban, the carnage and toxicity is clear. A neighbor's large goldfish got killed, inside the house. Fish are very weak to that poison.
No longer here at all, or, if any, very few:
Bugs: Bees, wasps, ladybugs, praying mantis, aphids, lacewings, spittle bugs, ants, hornets, flies, mosquitos, gnats, white flies, dragonflies and more.
Birds: Magpies, hawks, vultures, sparrows, swallows, finches, Great Horned owls, and many more.
Birds, less than 1% of normal.
Bugs, 1/1000000 of what was here.
No coyotes, no squirrel family in backyard oak tree, no frogs, no bats, much more again.
So quiet...just those few robins and a couple doves about it for birds. First hummingbird to show up, about four or five days ago, seen about a dozen, sniff and they are gone. Toxic nectar...

In June 2013, a pair of Indian Grey Hornbills was found to be nesting along the Nature Trail within the Rashtrapati Bhavan. While seeing hornbills in Delhi is not a rare occurrence, seeing a nesting pair is indeed good news as it is not a frequent occurrence! This particular hornbill nest was on a Neem tree and rather unusual in that the nest cavity is almost facing upwards to the sky. The birds were nesting late in the summer season and the rains had started by the time the chicks had hatched. The chicks inside must have been inundated by the first few showers of the monsoons!

The Indian Grey Hornbill (Ocyceros birostris) is a common hornbill found on the Indian subcontinent. It is mostly arboreal and is commonly sighted in pairs. This rare footage of a Grey Hornbill (Tockus birostris) nesting with the grounds of Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, goes to show that despite being in a bustling city, given the right habitat and nesting conditions (old trees with suitable nest-holes), a bird such as the Indian Grey Hornbill will afford us the rich sight of urban nidification!
The finely forested grounds, and parkland of the Indian President's Estate at Rashtrapati Bhavan affords this bird just the right habitat, feed and cover - a rare oasis in a bustling and burgeoning city...

The Indian Grey Hornbill is a medium-sized hornbill, measuring around 61 cm (24 in) in length. The upperparts are greyish brown and there is a slight trace of a pale supercilium. The ear coverts are darker. The flight feathers of the wing are dark brown and whitish tipped. The tail has a white tip and a dark subterminal band. They have a red iris and the eyelids have eyelashes. The casque is short and pointed. The male has a larger casque on a dark bill while the culmen and lower mandible are yellowish. The bare skin around the eye is dark in the male while it is sometimes pale reddish in females. The female has a more yellowish bill with black on the basal half and on the casque. The juveniles lack the casque and the bare skin around the eye is dull orange.

In June 2013, a pair of Indian Grey Hornbills was found to be nesting along the Nature Trail within the Rashtrapati Bhavan. While seeing hornbills in Delhi is not a rare occurrence, seeing a nesting pair is indeed good news as it is not a frequent occurrence! This particular hornbill nest was on a Neem tree and rather unusual in that the nest cavity is almost facing upwards to the sky. The birds were nesting late in the summer season and the rains had started by the time the chicks had hatched. The chicks inside must have been inundated by the first few showers of the monsoons!
