God's Restoration by Emmanuel Okoro (EPIGNOSIS). 27th October 2016. NOTES God has something He has set in motion and there is no darkness that can overcome it. God's restoration is an elaborate work that can be summarised as God bringing everything into His order. If God doesn't have a plan, our christian life will be purposeless. God is not caught unaware by negative happenings in life. From the beginning, He had set an agenda and He is not confused about what is happening in the present. As believers, we need to understand what He is doing and cooperate with Him. Heb 1:1-14 The present order is not yet in its perfect form. God has an agenda that everything will reflect Christ. God has not lost hold of what He is doing; everything will be in submission to Christ. We have this hope that we are joined with the Lord and are one with Him. 1 Cor 6:17. We are on a journey for the restoration of our soul and body and the church and the earth. We must know that our journey is not a hopeless journey. Ezra 1:1-9 We are on a journey towards the restoration of the temple of God. Our gathering together from time to time is strategic. God is doing something in our lives that is building and restoring the temple of God (the body of Christ). God is the one working in us towards the restoration of His temple. God is at liberty as to who and whom He will steer to bring His corporate body to form. The building of the corporate body of Christ is by God and what we have to do is to align to what He is doing. God will move whoever He pleases to bring to pass His word.(Ezra 1:5) God's purpose is not restricted to you and I. He will move upon the hearts of men to fulfil His will. Phil 2:12 - 13. It is God who works in us to do His good pleasure. Ezra 2:68 Our contribution to God and His purpose must be a freewill offering. It should not come out of manipulation or constraint. If you are not freely giving your offering to the Lord, then you are not contributing to His purpose. The service that builds the corporate work of God is the service that comes from our willing hearts. Rom 12:1 Willingly submitting yourself to God blesses Him. We cannot serve God on our own terms. We must fully surrender to Him. Rom 12:1-3 Our God is not a task master. He will not tempt us beyond our strength(1 Cor 10:13). Every journey of our christian walk is building something. It is the daily sacrifice of our lives that is building us for God's glory (Rom 2:7). Our daily practical livings are contributing to the building of God's corporate body. As we overcome greed, self justification, low self esteem and issues of our souls, we build the temple of God. There is no child of God who does not have a measure of faith. Ezra 3:1-6 The soul of man is on a journey towards restoration. God is restoring the soul to the position where the spirit is. The altar of God represents the presence of God. Going before the altar of God is going before God. Going before God's presence can be a difficult thing when the soul and all its filthiness are pulling at us. The effect of condemnation is upon our souls. The journey towards restoration of the soul is a journey that will despise fears and approach the altar of God. We will have to build the presence of God in the midst of the fears. The life of faith is a life that approaches the presence of God in the midst of our struggles because that is where we will find strength and be restored. Our salvation is to press for God's presence. Our salvation is to sing psalms when we are merry and pray when we are suffering. Every child of God ought to live in the hope that God will restore all things because He said He would. Christ is the central point of our restoration . Isaiah 62:1-end. This proclamation is very strong on us as children of God in this season.
