'Marine A' Alexander Blackman's wife arrives at court to hear whether her husband will be

'Marine A' Alexander Blackman (inset) will not be home for Christmas after the High Court denied him bail. His wife Claire (together left on their 2009 wedding day) was in court as the Lord Chief Justice Lord Thomas (right) blocked his immediate release from prison where he is serving a life sentence for shooting a Taliban fighter. She looked crestfallen when she heard Sgt Blackman, 42, must stay in jail as he awaits a fresh appeal to his murder conviction, which will be heard later next year. But outside the court Mrs Blackman was defiant (main picture) and said that despite the disappointment that her husband won't be freed he still has the chance to appeal against his conviction. Surrounded by her husband's supporters she admitted the family was 'disappointed' but said the 'appeal is the most important step towards getting Al's conviction and sentence overturned'. After the judgment black cab drivers sounded their horns as they carried out a go-slow outside the High Court in support of the jailed marine.

With music in the background and sitting in front of a black and white flag, the ranting extremist holds the girls in his arms as he brainwashes them.

KATIE HOPKINS: How many MORE atrocities before our leaders stop lying to us?

Now we will place yet more concrete blocks and cops with guns around our Christmas markets. And hope for the best, writes KATIE HOPKINS. But there can never be enough bollards, never enough policemen wielding sub-machine guns. At Winter Wonderland in London security bag checks that force hundreds to cram together in shuffling queues have simply created another tasty target for the bombers. In truth, there is no defence against terror. It is all-pervasive. Suffocating. And here we are again. Sitting waiting for the next attack - which is highly likely, if not imminent.
