In electronics, a phone connector, also known as phone jack, audio jack or jack plug, is a common family of connector typically used for analog signals, primarily audio. It is cylindrical in shape, typically with two, three or four contacts. Three-contact versions are known as TRS connectors, where T stands for "tip", R stands for "ring" and S stands for "sleeve". Similarly, two- and four-contact versions are called TS and TRRS connectors respectively.
The phone connector was invented for use in telephone switchboards in the 19th century and is still widely used. In its original configuration, the outside diameter of the "sleeve" conductor is 1⁄4 inch (exactly 6.35 mm). The "mini" connector has a diameter of 3.5 mm (approx. 1⁄8 inch) and the "sub-mini" connector has a diameter of 2.5 mm (approx. 3⁄32 inch).
Specific models are termed stereo plug, mini-stereo, mini jack, headphone jack and microphone jack. or are referred to by size, i.e. 3.5mm or 6.35mm.

In this video I review a Bluetooth receiver for audio that I bought from aliexpress. It fits any audio system (car/home etc.) that has a 3.5mm socket. This item is just fabulous & I truly recommend it, since the following reasons: 1. Sound quality is excellent. 2. Low price. 3. Easy to use. 4. It has a phone speakerphone since it has a mic in it - great bonus feature for those who don't have that in their car (let's say if you rent a car it will be very necessary). Another thing I didn't mention in the video is that it works in a range of up to 10 meters so assuming you use it for your car (i.e. during a road trip), if it's a big car or you are out of your car it's still works great! I cant think of any bad things to say about it... *** Here are my answers for FAQ (In addition to those...

Even the most expensive headphones can suffer from sound problems due to frayed electronics in the cord. In this situation, mono sound will come out of one headphone instead of stereo sound from both. Rather than replace the headphones/earphones, there is a potential low-cost alternative. By repairing the wires and re-soldering them to a new headphone/earphones jack, you will have the sound that you love and you will be able to keep your favorite headphones. In this challenge, I put Lightning Headphones vs the 3.5mm headphone port to see which one sounds better. The challenge took place at YouTube Space LA as part of the YouTube NextUp event that I got to be a part of. I looked at faith
I almost walked away
But I looked again
I found the nerve to close my eyes and say the words
To ask you in
And I heard no heavenly choir
No angels in whit attire
i got no amazing super hum omnipresent pow but....
CHORUS
I know You now
I know You now
I know You're in my heart
I know You now
Beyond the shadow of a doubt
I know You now
I look at peace, that once was out of reach
And now it's here
i read Your word that some believe is so absurd
But I hold dear, yea
'Cause You loved me with your dying breath
You saved me when You conquered death
