Description of the pictures here: Two week after the "flash" flood in Železniki. The bridges were still out. The army made some temporary bridges. We had to cross over a fallen tree. I fell and hurt my chin a bit. I'm an idiot. The pictures: 1. Flooded football field. There was at least 1 m of mud and water still there 2. Rubble by the road 3. Rubble by the furnace from 1826 4. The water level is visible here. The ground floor was completely flooded 6. The path by the river completely wiped out 8. Water level clearly visible 9. Old barn destroyed 12. House by the river badly damaged 13. Water level clearly visible 14. Destroyed bridge 15. Three and a half feet tall stone wall missing 16. Medical center flooded. All the history charts destroyed 18.-20. Land slides 21. Rubble left behind by the raging water 22. A section of the road missing 25. A temporary bridge 26-29. Rubble left behind by the raging water 30. Tree fell over the water. We had to cross there 32. Poor Herbie (un)Loaded, destroyed by the flood 37. Cars that ware salvaged from the water ware brought to a field, where owners could claim them. Not all cars ware found by that time. There was at least 150 cars in on this field, and a bus. This is not a scrap yard. This are actual cars, destroyed in the flood.
