It was on the sets of Prakash Mehra’s Blockbuster SHARABI that we met with Amitabh Bachchan. Mumbai is always hot and humid and Amitabh was wearing a long sleeved fleece top. The scene that was being filmed is on the screen for only a minute, but it took the whole morning to film it.
We sat patiently to get to interview the Big B. Our crew had flown from Vancouver to Mumbai for this interview. Once he sat down, the interview was over in no time.
Amitabh had just been to Vancouver a year prior to our interview and he did not have a good experience during his show here. He was a little on the quieter side. He was sub-dude but not rude.

Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan (IPA: [əmɪˈtaːbʱ ˈbəttʃən]; born 11 October 1942) is an Indian film actor. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s for movies like Zanjeer and Deewar, and was dubbed India's first "angry young man" for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Often referred to in the media as the "Shahenshah of Bollywood", "Star of the Millennium" or "Big B", he has since appeared in over 180 Indian films in a career spanning more than four decades. Bachchan is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. So total was his dominance of the movie scene in the 1970s and 1980s that the French director François Truffaut called him a "one-man industry."
Bachchan has won numerous accolades in his career, including three National Film Awards as Best Actor and many awards at international film festivals and award ceremonies. He has won 15 Filmfare Awards and is the most-nominated performer in any major acting category at Filmfare, with 40 nominations overall. In addition to acting, Bachchan has worked as a playback singer, film producer and television presenter. He also had a stint in politics in the 1980s.

It was on the sets of Prakash Mehra’s Blockbuster SHARABI that we met with Amitabh Bachchan. Mumbai is always hot and humid and Amitabh was wearing a long sleeved fleece top. The scene that was being filmed is on the screen for only a minute, but it took the whole morning to film it. We sat patiently to get to interview the Big B. Our crew had flown from Vancouver to Mumbai for this interview. Once he sat down, the interview was over in no time. Amitabh had just been to Vancouver a year prior to our interview and he did not have a good experience during his show here. He was a little on the quieter side. He was sub-dude but not rude.

It was on the sets of Prakash Mehra’s Blockbuster SHARABI that we met with Amitabh Bachchan. Mumbai is always hot and humid and Amitabh was wearing a long sleeved fleece top. The scene that was being filmed is on the screen for only a minute, but it took the whole morning to film it. We sat patiently to get to interview the Big B. Our crew had flown from Vancouver to Mumbai for this interview. Once he sat down, the interview was over in no time. Amitabh had just been to Vancouver a year prior to our interview and he did not have a good experience during his show here. He was a little on the quieter side. He was sub-dude but not rude.

And women, are speaking that language. Can we hear it?

In a candid conversation with TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan admits that although a lot of film artists managed to enter the political arena, he would still be uncomfortable in that field. Bachchan also says that as artists, they are more concerned with their own creative work and hence prefer to be on the right side.
Bachchan also speaks about the pain he went through when his name was dragged into the Bofors scandal. He notes that this has encouraged him to maintain a dignified silence on several issues. On a lighter note, Bachchan says that he would like to be a journalist, as this would allo him to ask sharp and hard-hitting questions, instead of having to face them.

For generations the Sooryavansh family has ruled the communities and it's people justly and fairly. This generation is headed by Thakur Bhanupratap Singh (Amitabh Bachchan). He has 3 sons, the youngest, Heera (also Amitabh) he considers to be the black sheep, and most illiterate of the family, and he will not have anything to do with him. He is enraged when Heera proposes to marry his ward, Gauri (Rachana Bannerjee); and even more angered when Heera flip-flops, albeit at the request of Gauri, and refuses to marry her. Heera is shunned by one and all in the family, including Gauri. And then Radha (Soundarya) enters his life; she marries him; encourages him to live independently; and helps his business flourish. Soon they are blessed with birth of a son. Heera fulfills his father's dream of a charitable hospital for the poor. Bhanupratap comes to know of his grandchild, and meets him secretly. Then one day Bhanupratap is rushed to hospital, apparently poisoned by drinking kheer prepared by Heera, and Heera becomes the prime suspect of what may well become the death of his father.
