The Boston Major is the first Major of the 2016-2017 season. The main event takes place at the Wang Theater in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Notably, The Boston Major is the first publisher sponsored event to not feature a double-elimination bracket. Instead, the 16 participating teams will be seeded into a single elimination bracket based on their performance in the group stage.
Format:
- Open Qualifiers - October 23rd - October 26th, 2016
Eight Regional Single-elimination Open Qualifiers, two brackets for each region.
The winners of each Regional Qualifier will advance to the respective Main Qualifier.
-Main Qualifiers - October 27th - October 31st, 2016
Four Regional Qualifiers:
One group containing all teams, with the top four teams advancing to the Regional Double-elimination Playoff Bracket.
The winner and runner-up of each Regional Playoff Bracket will join the eight directly invited teams in Boston.
Group Stage - December 3rd - December 4th, 2016
Main Event - December 7th - December 10th, 2016
Teams are seeded into a single-elimination bracket after the Group Stage.
All games are Best-of-Three, with best-of-five grand finals.
Prize Pool:
The prize pool of the tournament is $3,000,000 USD.
The prize pool distribution has not yet been announced.

"Felix Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie — who is the most popular creator in the history of YouTube with 49.6 million subscribers and counting — has just made a rather remarkable vow: When he hits 50 million subscribers, Kjellberg said in a video on Friday, he plans to delete his channel. And it looks like he means it.
Kjellberg released the video, titled Deleting My Channel At 50 Million, in response to a wonky subscription box epidemic that has beset YouTube before and seems to be plaguing the platform anew in recent weeks. Many creators are complaining that their subscriptions have plummeted recently, and many fans have noted that videos are not showing up in their subscription boxes. YouTube, for its part, says that nothing out of the ordinary is happening on its end.
These issues seemed to make themselves manifest in Kjellberg’s recent daily vlogging project, which he abandoned mid-way through after noting that it took an exhausting toll on his psyche. However, in the new video (below), Kjellberg clarifies that a viewership drop on the vlogs also dissuaded him from forging onward."*

"Felix Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie — who is the most popular creator in the history of YouTube with 49.6 million subscribers and counting — has just made a rather remarkable vow: When he hits 50 million subscribers, Kjellberg said in a video on Friday, he plans to delete his channel. And it looks like he means it.
Kjellberg released the video, titled Deleting My Channel At 50 Million, in response to a wonky subscription box epidemic that has beset YouTube before and seems to be plaguing the platform anew in recent weeks. Many creators are complaining that their subscriptions have plummeted recently, and many fans have noted that videos are not showing up in their subscription boxes. YouTube, for its part, says that nothing out of the ordinary is happening on its end.
These issues seemed to make themselves manifest in Kjellberg’s recent daily vlogging project, which he abandoned mid-way through after noting that it took an exhausting toll on his psyche. However, in the new video (below), Kjellberg clarifies that a viewership drop on the vlogs also dissuaded him from forging onward."*

The Monument is the city's tallest freestanding stone column and a reminder of the Great Fire of London that destroyed 80 percent of the city. In four days, more than 13,000 buildings were destroyed and the Monument was built on the site of the bakery in which the fire began.
Since the reign of Queen Victoria, Buckingham Palace has served as London's royal residence. A garden of mulberry trees once grew on the site of today's palace and the Duke of Buckingham subsequently added a simple brick built residence. Around 60 years later, George II purchased the site for his wife and George IV eventually began to design an extensive palace complex.
The highlight of any holiday in London must be the largest Ferris wheel in the world, the London Eye. Situated on the banks of the Thames, it rises high into the sky, opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

London is an exciting and pulsating metropolis of the new millennium, a melting pot of both people and culture and a fascinating city of diverse contrasts.
The City Of London contains the Tower, an historic landmark with a remarkable history. A mighty medieval fortress with 13 towers that throughout its 900 years, has served many functions and from the Middle Ages, it was a heavily fortified prison.
After the medieval St. Paul's Cathedral was destroyed by a devastating fire in 1666, Christopher Wren was ordered to re-build it with a dome. During the 36 years of its construction, its design was frequently altered until finally a wonderful masterpiece of church architecture was created.
The Monument is the city's tallest freestanding stone column and a reminder of the Great Fire of London that destroyed 80 percent of the city. In four days, more than 13,000 buildings were destroyed and the Monument was built on the site of the bakery in which the fire began.
Since the reign of Queen Victoria, Buckingham Palace has served as London's royal residence. A garden of mulberry trees once grew on the site of today's palace and the Duke of Buckingham subsequently added a simple brick built residence. Around 60 years later, George II purchased the site for his wife and George IV eventually began to design an extensive palace complex.
The highlight of any holiday in London must be the largest Ferris wheel in the world, the London Eye. Situated on the banks of the Thames, it rises high into the sky, opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
The former centre of the largest empire in the world, London is still a city of superlatives that attracts millions of visitors each year. Exciting both day and night, London is a modern city with age old traditions and a long and colorful history.
