Super easy and super cute way to make a mini Zen Garden in Winter style – awesome stress-relief toy.
Everyone needs to calm nerves sometimes. Or just to relax and switch your mind to something different. So digging Miniature Japanese gardens (Zen Gardens) or drawing lines with mini rake could be really helpful.
And what is the most exciting for me in this projects – is that this garden is in winter style. No sand – just snow. Well, kind of snow :)
I start with a DIY Miniature Snowman. You will need 2 teaspoons salt, about 30 ml hot water, about 6 tablespoons wheat flour. You can dry dough balls in the oven (80-100°C) for an hour or more. For decorating I used a stationery glue, salt, toothpicks (for nose and arms) and two tiny beads as eyes.
Place your snowman in the tray (I took a cardboard box lid) poured with salt – this will be the base of our Zen garden.
Next I show how to make a miniature Fir Tree (or Christmas tree, but without decorations). You will need three pompoms of green yarn (better to use a thin thread yarn) and a stick (I used a wooden stir stick, but you can use a drinking straw or needless pencil).
The third DIY is my favorite – Miniature Sled :) Sledding is so fun! Isn't it? For mini sled you will need wooden stirrers (wooden stir sticks). Mine were 0.5 cm x 15 cm. If you will use popsicle sticks (craft sticks) you would soak them in hot water much longer than 30 minutes – about 12 hours or so. The point is they are thick and made of another kind of wood, I think... But wooden stirrers are thin and become flexible after 30 minutes in hot water.
About measurements. The total length of “runners� is 7.5 cm. The seat part is 4.5 cm x 3 cm. And the height of the sled is 1.5 cm.
And sure, what Zen Garden could be without rake! So the last thing I show is how to make miniature rake. You will need 5 paperclips, super glue and a wooden stick (for a handle).

Winter
Winter is the coldest season of the year in polar and temperate climates, between autumn and spring. Winter is caused by the axis of the Earth in that hemisphere being oriented away from the Sun. Simon's Cat
Simon's Cat is an animated cartoon and book series by the British animator Simon Tofield featuring a hungry house cat who uses increasingly heavy-handed tactics to get its owner to feed it.
In January 2009, it was announced that Simon's Cat would be published in book format. Canongate released the title on 1 October 2009 in the United Kingdom. It was later released in many other countries and additional titles in the series were subsequently published.
A Simon's Cat newspaper strip ran in the Daily Mirror from 2011 to 2013.
In August 2015, it was announced that Endemol Shine UK had acquired a stake on Simon's Cat.
Production
The series was animated with Adobe Flash software until 2014, then with TVPaint. The pictures are hand-drawn electronically, using an A4-size Wacom Intuos 3 graphics tablet.
Creator Simon Tofield revealed that his four cats, called Teddy, Hugh, Jess and Maisie, provide inspiration for the series, with Hugh being the primary inspiration.

"And I" is a song written by American R&B singer Ciara, and produced by Adonis Shropshire for Ciara's first album, Goodies (2004). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on August 30, 2005 (see 2005 in music) in North America.
The song was originally the third choice for the fourth single. Ciara has mentioned in an interview that "Thug Style", "Hotline" or "Pick up the Phone" would be the fourth single, but when Ciara suggested "And I" to executives at her previous record label LaFace, they were unhappy because they wanted "Next to You" to be the fourth single.
Chart performance
At the time of the U.S. release of "And I", Ciara's collaboration with Bow Wow, "Like You", and her collaboration with Missy Elliott, "Lose Control", were at the height of their popularity. "And I" peaked at 96 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 27 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, which were poor positions compared to those attained by the first three singles from the album Goodies. It was not released outside North America because of this, and it is Ciara's least successful single.

Super easy and super cute way to make a mini Zen Garden in Winter style – awesome stress-relief toy. Everyone needs to calm nerves sometimes. Or just to relax and switch your mind to something different. So digging Miniature Japanese gardens (Zen Gardens) or drawing lines with mini rake could be really helpful. And what is the most exciting for me in this projects – is that this garden is in winter style. No sand – just snow. Well, kind of snow :) I start with a DIY Miniature Snowman. You will need 2 teaspoons salt, about 30 ml hot water, about 6 tablespoons wheat flour. You can dry dough balls in the oven (80-100°C) for an hour or more. For decorating I used a stationery glue, salt, toothpicks (for nose and arms) and two tiny beads as eyes. Place your snowman in the tray (I took a cardboard box lid) poured with salt – this will be the base of our Zen garden. Next I show how to make a miniature Fir Tree (or Christmas tree, but without decorations). You will need three pompoms of green yarn (better to use a thin thread yarn) and a stick (I used a wooden stir stick, but you can use a drinking straw or needless pencil). The third DIY is my favorite – Miniature Sled :) Sledding is so fun! Isn't it? For mini sled you will need wooden stirrers (wooden stir sticks). Mine were 0.5 cm x 15 cm. If you will use popsicle sticks (craft sticks) you would soak them in hot water much longer than 30 minutes – about 12 hours or so. The point is they are thick and made of another kind of wood, I think... But wooden stirrers are thin and become flexible after 30 minutes in hot water. About measurements. The total length of “runners� is 7.5 cm. The seat part is 4.5 cm x 3 cm. And the height of the sled is 1.5 cm. And sure, what Zen Garden could be without rake! So the last thing I show is how to make miniature rake. You will need 5 paperclips, super glue and a wooden stick (for a handle). Everyone needs to calm nerves sometimes. Or just to relax...
Super easy and super cute way to make a mini Zen Garden in Winter style – awesome stress-relief toy.
Everyone needs to calm nerves sometimes. Or just to relax and switch your mind to something different. So digging Miniature Japanese gardens (Zen Gardens) or drawing lines with mini rake could be really helpful.
And what is the most exciting for me in this projects – is that this garden is in winter style. No sand – just snow. Well, kind of snow :)
I start with a DIY Miniature Snowman. You will need 2 teaspoons salt, about 30 ml hot water, about 6 tablespoons wheat flour. You can dry dough balls in the oven (80-100°C) for an hour or more. For decorating I used a stationery glue, salt, toothpicks (for nose and arms) and two tiny beads as eyes.
Place your snowman in the tray (I took a cardboard box lid) poured with salt – this will be the base of our Zen garden.
Next I show how to make a miniature Fir Tree (or Christmas tree, but without decorations). You will need three pompoms of green yarn (better to use a thin thread yarn) and a stick (I used a wooden stir stick, but you can use a drinking straw or needless pencil).
The third DIY is my favorite – Miniature Sled :) Sledding is so fun! Isn't it? For mini sled you will need wooden stirrers (wooden stir sticks). Mine were 0.5 cm x 15 cm. If you will use popsicle sticks (craft sticks) you would soak them in hot water much longer than 30 minutes – about 12 hours or so. The point is they are thick and made of another kind of wood, I think... But wooden stirrers are thin and become flexible after 30 minutes in hot water.
About measurements. The total length of “runners� is 7.5 cm. The seat part is 4.5 cm x 3 cm. And the height of the sled is 1.5 cm.
And sure, what Zen Garden could be without rake! So the last thing I show is how to make miniature rake. You will need 5 paperclips, super glue and a wooden stick (for a handle).

Winter is upon us. I live in San Diego, and let's be honest. The notion of us slogging through a frigid few months awaiting spring's thaw is ridiculous. Yet, I'm cold. It's chilly and cloudy and yes, sometimes, even rainy.We all spend more time inside the minute sweater becomes jacket-weather.
