China owns the most advanced solar generating technology. China has lots of sun-drenched land mass. Ergo, China – through 5 year plans – can develop large-scale ‘parks’ where scale of enterprise makes the whole thing pay off.

The Chinese have the engineers, technology, money and incentive to push along these lines. They can invest in energy generation from solar origin. They will just keep making improvements, better productivity. It will be relentless, backed up by state-authorized production.

The Chinese have proven themselves at infrastructure building – roads, rail, gas, oil. They can build the structure to move stuff around big time.

Oh, I forgot. The Chinese are way ahead with Thorium reactors. Actually, the Chinese are pretty much ahead on most things.

Hmm some analysts differ… If you factor in the intermittency of RE, you come “to the rather astounding conclusion that even if wind turbines and solar PV could be built at zero cost, it would not make sense to continue to add them to the electric grid in the absence of very much better and cheaper electricity storage than we have today”

Pricing solar and wind strictly on $/KWH Is misleading. Both of these sources are intermittent. You have to include either grid backup or storage in the cost.
Germany has found that the grid cannot handle more than 20% intermittent without going unstable.

Basic math, basic economics and the historical constant shifting of power around the globe says that Israel will lose over time and the USA will lose because it picked the “wrong side.”

While the middle east Muslims are still going through the decolonization process and fighting each other for power, eventually the power structures will be worked out and the Muslim against Muslim conflict will stop. Then the Muslims will focus their anger on Israel and Israel can not win that war over the long term.

The cost of that war for the USA will be huge and Americans will quickly tire of the war and throw Israel overboard.

If Israel continues on the path of ethnically cleansing Jerusalem of Muslims and if the temple mount is violated, then Israel will not only be dealing with the Arab and Persian Muslims, but the other billion or so Muslims around the globe.

The numbers just do not look good for Israel and even threatening the globe with nuclear weapons will backfire on Israel.

Israel is marching down the path to their own destruction because of total hubris.

Prediction: The Israeli govt. will use this as evidence of how reaonable & considerate they are of Palestinians rights for another 10 yrs.
I recall the fuss about the glasshouses they left in Gaza. Had to Google to learn that they also turned the water off.
Western media is a little more wary now tho, thank goodness.

Profound & much needed because the Israeli & US supporters have their own sites where people can get “simple answers” – yes, for simple people to believe unfortunately.
