This is Bethanie and her Great Grandmother, Emmy. Emmy trained German Shepherds for the American forces during WW2. In 1943, Emmy was featured with her German Shepherds before they were shipped off to war in photos taken on our roof that were then used in various newspaper articles.
Fast forward 73 years later to 2016 --> Bethanie hears about the tours we offer of our rooftop and presents us with the photo you see here from 1943. We took Bethanie's photo from the exact same spot her Great Grandmother stood all those years ago so she could have this amazing memory to share with her friends and family <3
