Englishman to be deported after threatening police

An English national who threatened to "rape and kill" the families of police officers has been sentenced in a Gold Coast court.

Tre John Bunby, 23, was given a six-month prison sentence at Southport Magistrates Court on Monday after pleading guilty to several charges including assaulting police.

Bunby, who made the threats after being arrested for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in March, was granted immediate parole but is set to be deported following his conviction.
