Seasoned crash investigator Sergeant Steve Webb said the three men, aged 22 and 25 from Gin Gin and 33 from Bundaberg, were seen at a local pub earlier.

The bodies of the men were found inside the mangled wreckage of their car at Bucca after the accident about 7pm on Saturday night.

Sgt Webb said the driver lost control of the car as he tried to negotiate a bend, crashing into the trees near the intersection of Birthamba Road and Bishop Drive, killing all three instantly.

He begged other drivers to take care on the roads.

"There's a message out there: Think about your families and loved ones, those you leave behind" he told reporters at the scene.

"This is such a bloody waste of life, it really is - and how do we get it through to people."

Meanwhile a 14-year-old boy was trying to cross Moore Park Road in Moore Park Beach, north of Bundaberg, about 4pm on Friday when he was involved in an accident with a ute.

He was taken to hospital with significant injuries but died on Sunday afternoon.

A 57-year-old motorcyclist was also killed on Friday morning after a collision with a car at the intersection of the Warrego Highway and Shaw Road at Hatton Vale, 70 kilometres west of Brisbane.

His pillion, a 49-year-old woman, was airlifted to hospital with significant injuries.

The Queensland road toll has risen to 243 deaths for 2016, with this month's tally at 22.

A 39-year-old man was fighting for life after rolling his ute at Home Hill, south of Townsville.

Police said about 5am on Sunday the ute left Kirknie Road and rolled several times.

Finally, a man was also involved in a collision with a car about 11.30pm Saturday night on Taylor Street at Tully Heads, south of Cairns.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
