Technical requirements

Economist.com has been optimised for a screen size of 1024 x 768 pixels, without any additional browser toolbars.

The HTML has been designed and tested for the following web-browsers:

• Internet Explorer IE 9+
• The latest 2 versions of Firefox, Chrome, and Safari
• At the time of writing those versions are Firefox 34+, Chrome 39+, and Safari 6+

For the best reading experience we recommend that users allow cookies (review our cookie policy for more details) and JavaScript.

RSS and Chrome

By default, Chrome does not render the programming language XML. If you're using Chrome and would like to subscribe to our RSS feeds, you'll first need to download the RSS Subscription Extension into Chrome.
