The reason I'm making this video is to respond the ignorant and stupid comments of people who do not know about the history of religions living in Indonesia.exp : "Islam has killed many non-Muslims in Indonesia ! " really ? Do you find the evidence? , or you just watch and hear the propaganda news abroad ?.
precisely in Indonesia,religious activities are protected by the government, both of religions that have been recognized as an official religion or religion not officially recognized.Indonesian people whatever their religion is very religious society, this proves there are no temples or houses of worship were destroyed, while many Indonesian people no longer embrace that religions.so anyone who wants to give a comment insulting Indonesia and religions that exist in this video, chances are I will not accept that comments, except comments which explains more about the history of religions in Indonesia..Please be Advise !!!

This was not on my list of places to see in Bali but it was recommend by our driver and I have to say he was right, I did not show all the tourist shopping areas in front but it is differently a tourist trap, That being said, I am glad we went there, It is a very interesting place, Worth a visit.

Because without the presence and blessing us , he certainly is not anything in his eyes . We are very thankful and grateful for our wedding procession though simple but very deep meaning obtained . Unlike other Hindus ceremony wedding ceremony we are very very simple . This is supported by funds owned . Understandably we do not have substantial funds. The cheeky little macaques are thought to be descendants of mythical monkey king, Hanoman. Gamelan music and Legong dance are part of Bali’s culture. The movement of the body, and especially the position of the head, the play of the eyes and various facial expressions, each form the traditional elements of the dance. A journey to the centre of the island, from Sebali to Keliki, is a great experience and one not to be missed. Uphill through small villages and lush greenery, past banana trees and paddy fields, typical Balinese country life. On the main island, in Kuta, are wonderfully spacious, white sandy beaches and the warm Indian Ocean, often with waves several metres high. Here, relaxation is the order of the day and the waves attract surfers from all over the world. Bali is truly the Island of the Gods, with fantastic scenery, fascinating culture and exclusive hotels.

The city of Yogyakarta (simply called Jogja) is known as Neverending Asia for its endless attractions and appeal. It is renowned as a center of education (Kota Pelajar), classical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry, and puppet shows. Yogyakarta was the Indonesian capital during the Indonesian National Revolution from 1945 to 1949.
A unique combination of ancient temples within its proximity, such as the world famous Borobudur and Prambanan temples, its history, traditions, unique Javanese culture and natural forces make Yogyakarta a very worthwhile place to visit in Indonesia.

1. YOGYA means «suitable, fit, proper», and KARTA, «prosperous, flourishing» (i.e., «a city that is fit to prosper»).
2. Candi Prambanan (temple) or also known as Candi Rara Jonggrang, is a well known ancient Hindu Temple in Indonesia. It is built during the 9th century for Trimurti as an expression that God is the Creator (Brahma), Preserver (Vishnu) and also the Destroyer (Shiva). It is one of the Indonesia UNESCO World Heritage Site, being one of the largest Hindu temple architecture in Southeast Asia.
3. 9th-century Borobudur temple is an Indonesia UNESCO Heritage site and one of the largest Buddhist temple in the world. It was built in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha.
4. Yogyakarta is the only major city, which still has traditional 'Becak' (rickshaw-style) transport.
5. Yogyakarta has more than just culture though. It is a very lively city and a shopper's delight. The main road, Malioboro Street, is always crowded and famous for its night street food-culture and street vendors. Many tourist shops and hotels are concentrated along this street.

Untuk bangunan pura sendiri mempunyai bangunan yang cukup unik dengan adanya atap pada bangunan tengahnya, jauh dari ciri khas agama Hindu yang bersembahyang diruangan terbuka yang bertujuan untuk menyatu dengan alam. Lokasi pura ini dulu juga pernah digunakan sebagai tempat bertapa Hamengku Buwono II sampai mendapatkan gelar ki Banguntapa. Pura Jagatnatha menjadi wisata unggulan untuk wisata religi di Yogyakarta.

One of the common misconceptions about Hinduism is that it is an India-specific religion. Indeed it is true that Hinduism and the Vedanta philosophy originated in India and even today a vast majority of the followers of the religion are Indians; emigration and migration in the last couple of centuries and the universal appeal of Vedanta have made people recognize the fact that it is a global religion with a worldwide following.
Even historically, Hinduism was never an India-specific religion. Ancient Hindu idols have been discovered in places as far as central Asia. However, for a variety of reasons, Hinduism got erased from most of the places which lay to the west of India.
But in Indonesia, where Hinduism flourished in style and in substance, it continues to maintain its presence even today – reminding us of its past glory and global appeal.
While the majority of the population did become Muslims along with their rulers, for many Javanese this was a change in name only. And even though an ever-more popular and educated acceptance of Islam was gained in the colonial and post-colonial era, through the work of independent and government Islamic organizations, the victory of Islam has remained incomplete. Most recently, a back-to-Hinduism movement which first emerged in Java in the 1960s, has gathered new momentum in the turmoil of Indonesia's economic and political crisis. Some of its members are prophesying that a natural cataclysm or final battle is at hand, in which Islam will be swept from the island and Hindu civilization restored to its past glory. The movement in Java is part of a wider national phenomenon of reconversion to Hinduism. In part, this is a reflection of the rapid Islamization of Indonesian society in recent decades, and especially after the fall of Suharto in 1998, which has made it difficult for many Javanese to carry on their Hindu traditions and retain a nominal Muslim identity. As a result, the Hindu community of Java is now the largest in Indonesia.

There are many Hindu temples and ceremonies for various reasons including the opening ceremony of a new lobby of a hotel. Borobudur, or Barabudur, is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist Temple in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The monument consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular, topped by a central dome. The temple is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. Built in the 9th century during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty, the temple was designed in Javanese Buddhist architecture, which blends the Indonesian indigenous cult of ancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana.[4] The temple also demonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflects India's influence on the region, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated to make Borobudur uniquely Indonesian.[5][6] The monument is both a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. The journey for pilgrims begins at the base of the monument and follows a path around the monument and ascends to the top through three levels symbolic of Buddhist cosmology: Kāmadhātu (the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness). The monument guides pilgrims through an extensive system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the walls and the balustrades. Borobudur has the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world.[4]
Evidence suggests Borobudur was constructed in the 9th century and abandoned following the 14th-century decline of Hindu kingdoms in Java and the Javanese conversion to Islam. Worldwide knowledge of its existence was sparked in 1814 by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, then the British ruler of Java, who was advised of its location by native Indonesians. Borobudur has since been preserved through several restorations. The largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO, following which the monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year, Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Vesak at the monument, and Borobudur is Indonesia's single most visited tourist attraction
