Snake pulled from Adventure World pool

Video has appeared of a snake apparently being pulled out of a pool at Perth's Adventure World

And during that time the park has won a bag-full of awards, changed and upgraded its rides and attracted massive crowds.

Yet Mr Shaw has gone... no longer with the company.

He broke the news himself in a post that announced he was no longer Adventure World CEO but gave little away as to what had happened or why.

"All, after 6 fantastic, beautiful years at AW I am no longer with the park," he wrote.

"I have loved the enthusiasm and support you guys have shown for the park and long may it continue. The team at AW are amazing so I'm sure the future will be bright.

"I hope the future 6 years are as exciting as the past. Thanks for your incredible support. Best wishes to all."

Others posted in reply.

"Sad to hear," said one.

"This is not good news," posted another.

At the beginning of December, Adventure World was awarded the Australian Institute of Management Pinnacle Award for its excellent customer service.

Earlier, the company was awarded a Training Initiative Award for the third year running.

Adventure World was also a finalist in the WA Perth Airport Tourism Awards and, based on Trip Advisor ratings for the past two years, has been the highest-rated major theme park or water park in Australia.

Its latest initiative is Cirque Extreme - a "high adrenaline 30-minute show under the big top".

Adventure World is offering two free shows daily starting tomorrow, December 18, right through the school holidays.
