Zoobic Tiger Safari Zoo Tour Overview Subic Bay. Zoobic Safari is an adventure park that made Subic Bay Freeport a prime tourist destination with the first and only tiger safari experience, it has added new features to make every step in the 25 hectare wildlife sanctuary a truly unforgettable experience.
Zoobic Safari is a 25-hectare amusement park presenting a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you and your family. Far from the conventional zoo, Zoobic gives you a chance to meet these wonderful animals up close and personal, promote awareness and concern for their species thru education/information given by our competent Tour Guides, a unique avenue to commune with nature and most of all, experience an adventure like no other here in the country: A close encounter with the biggest members of the cat family. This may very well be the closest thing to a real animal jungle safari around here in the country.
Important Tour Details
The guided tour takes approximately 2 1/2 hours to visit 11 attractions
Park Hours - 8 am to 4 pm (last admission of guests)
No schedule for the tour. 15 minutes waiting time after purchasing entrance tickets, the assigned Tour Guide will conduct an orientation before start of the tour.
There are two parts of the tour:
WALK-THRU : 30-40 minutes walking inside the Zoobic Park, Rodent World and Serpentarium
DRIVE-THRU : Group/s will go through the different attractions aboard their own vehicle (no additional charge) OR our Tram (additional P50/person). Groups will then be transferred to our customized Safari Jeep at the Tiger Safari Ride attraction.
Animal Show and Animal Parade on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

Subic Bay
Subic Bay is a bay on the west coast of the island of Luzon in the Philippines, about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northwest of Manila Bay. An extension of the South China Sea, its shores were formerly the site of a major United States Navy facility named U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay, which is now the location of an industrial and commercial area known as the Subic Bay Freeport Zone under the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
The bay was long recognized for its deep and protected waters, but development was slow due to lack of level terrain around the bay.
History
In 1542, Spanish conquistador Juan de Salcedo sailed into Subic Bay but no port developed there because the main Spanish naval base would be established in the nearby Manila Bay. When the British captured this base in 1762, the Spanish were forced to find an alternate location and Subic Bay was found to be a strategic and superb port location. In 1884, King Alfonso XII of Spain decreed that Subic was to become "a naval port and the property appertaining thereto set aside for naval purposes."

Not knowing very much about the Philippines before I visited, I was pleasantly surprised by Manila and Subic and how they both reminded me of America. The highlight of the trip was getting a chance to visit a Vietnamese boat people refugee camp near Baataan. I met some friendly Pinoys too. The food was great. The transportation readily available. And the landscape extremely beautiful.
