She eventually gave in and put on a black jacket following the extraordinary row
Newsreaders are usually all smiles when they're on air, but it seems they're not always the best of friends once the cameras are switched off - as this outrageous video reveals.
The extraordinary footage taken in a 9 News studio shows newsreader Amber Sherlock having an epic meltdown after realising she, a fellow journalist and her guest were all wearing white.
She descended into rage after spotting 9 News presenter Julie Snook and psychologist Sandy Rea sporting similar dresses to her moments before going live on Wednesday.
Directing her anger at her colleague, Ms Sherlock demanded Ms Snook put on a different coloured jacket, creating an extremely awkward situation for their guest.

Speaking to her producer, the presenter said: 'I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.'
Ms Snook defended herself, insisting she had not had time to change out of her outfit.
But Ms Sherlock refused to back down, replying: 'Come on I told you two hours ago.'
Her fellow 9 News reporter apologised and said she had been 'flat out' and had not had time to switch into a different colour.
But a furious Ms Sherlock had no time for her apology and continued to demand she get changed before going live.
Psychologist Ms Rea, who by this point looked very uncomfortable, offered to find a jacket herself, as she was wearing white too.
But Ms Sherlock told her to calm down and pointedly remarked that she was fine as she had made sure to mention in advance that she would be wearing white.
'There can't be three of us,' the newscaster flatly said.
'If it's an issue I can get on out of here,' Ms Snook said.
'It is an issue. Go and grab a jacket,' Ms Sherlock coldly replied, adding: 'I wasn't saying it for no reason. The wardrobe girls will be furious.'
Ms Snook tried to claim her dress was actually blue, but she then agreed to put on a black jacket that was lying around in the newsroom.
'If there’s an issue I can just head on out and get back to work. I’m flat chat. I genuinely forgot,' the reporter said as she left her chair to find other clothes.
But Ms Sherlock was not finished.
'Fine, jump on out if that’s what you’d like to do. Come on, wearing a jacket. I asked you two-and-a-half hours ago. It’s not the hardest request.
'I know it’s not your issue. But we did talk about it two-and-a-half hours ago.'
Despite their incredibly diva-esque row, the pair were all-smiles when they went on air, with Ms Sherlock grinning as she introduced her colleague - who was wearing the black jacket.
It is not clear who leaked the footage, which was published by Mumbrella.
The two 9 News journalists have since released a statement, with Ms Sherlock admitting she 'probably overreacted'.
'Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times. And as anyone knows, it’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends,' she said.
'I probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin.
'Thank goodness we had psychologist Sandy Rae around afterwards!!'
Ms Snook added: 'What can I say? Amber and I just really love white!
'Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her.
'News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.'

Color
Color (American English) or colour (Commonwealth English) is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called red, blue, yellow, etc. Color derives from the spectrum of light (distribution of light power versus wavelength) interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors. Color categories and physical specifications of color are also associated with objects or materials based on their physical properties such as light absorption, reflection, or emission spectra. By defining a color space colors can be identified numerically by their coordinates.
Because perception of color stems from the varying spectral sensitivity of different types of cone cells in the retina to different parts of the spectrum, colors may be defined and quantified by the degree to which they stimulate these cells. These physical or physiological quantifications of color, however, do not fully explain the psychophysical perception of color appearance.
The science of color is sometimes called chromatics, colorimetry, or simply color science. It includes the perception of color by the human eye and brain, the origin of color in materials, color theory in art, and the physics of electromagnetic radiation in the visible range (that is, what we commonly refer to simply as light).

Nursery rhyme
A nursery rhyme is a traditional poem or song for young children in Britain and many other countries, but usage only dates from the late 18th /early 19th century. In North America the term Mother Goose Rhymes, introduced in the mid-18th century, is still often used.
History
Lullabies
The oldest children's songs of which we have records are lullabies, intended to help a child sleep. Lullabies can be found in every human culture. The English term lullaby is thought to come from "lu, lu" or "la la" sound made by mothers or nurses to calm children, and "by by" or "bye bye", either another lulling sound, or a term for good night. Until the modern era lullabies were usually only recorded incidentally in written sources. The Roman nurses' lullaby, "Lalla, Lalla, Lalla, aut dormi, aut lacta", is recorded in a scholium on Persius and may be the oldest to survive.
Many medieval English verses associated with the birth of Jesus take the form of a lullaby, including "Lullay, my liking, my dere son, my sweting" and may be versions of contemporary lullabies. However, most of those used today date from the 17th century. For example, a well known lullaby such as "Rock-a-bye, baby on a tree top", cannot be found in records until the late-18th century when it was printed by John Newbery (c. 1765).

For Children (Bartók)
For Children (Hungarian: A Gyermekeknek) is a cycle of short piano pieces composed by Béla Bartók. The collection was originally started in 1908 and completed in 1909, and comprised 85 pieces which were issued in four volumes. Each piece is based on a folk tune, Hungarian in the first two volumes (42 pieces), and Slovakian in the last two (43 pieces). In 1945, Bartók revised the set, removing six pieces which used tunes which had been inaccurately transcribed or found not to be original folk tunes, and substantially changing the harmonisation of a number of others; the cycle, now of 79 pieces, was reissued in two volumes (of 40 and 39 pieces).
The pieces were written as student works, and progress slightly in difficulty through each half of the cycle. However, in modern times, some concert pianists (notably Zoltán Kocsis) have begun including some of them on their recital programs, citing their musical value even apart from their pedagogical origins.

Amber Sherlock
Amber Sherlock (née Higlett) is an Australian journalist and television news presenter. She currently presents the weather on Nine News Sydney and Monday presenter of Nine News Now.
Career
Sherlock began her career at the Seven Network in Sydney and worked for the financial news service at the Commonwealth Bank before joining Network Ten for the Sydney Olympics. She then moved into finance journalism, taking a position in London for several years. She came back to Canberra as a host for a Network Ten current affairs program. Upon her return to Sydney, Sherlock went to work for Commonwealth Securities as a financial journalist, after which she took a position as a newsreader with Sky News Australia.
Sherlock joined the Nine Network in 2007 to present the business segments for the Today, Nine Morning News Hour and Nine Afternoon News. She was the news presenter on Weekend Today and Monday news presenter on Today. Sherlock later presented the morning edition of the Qantas Inflight News. In January 2009, it was announced that Sherlock would be the news presenter for Weekend Today, alongside co-hosts Cameron Williams and Leila McKinnon. In July 2009, Sherlock was appointed Monday news presenter for Today, as Georgie Gardner presents Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday.

Song
A song is a single (and often standalone) work of music intended to be sung by the human voice with distinct and fixed pitches and patterns using sound and silence and a variety of forms that often include the repetition of sections. VIDEO: 9News host Amber Sherlock makes Julie Snook change before TV appearance. 'I told you about this two-and-a-half hours ago!' Channel Nine newsreader Amber Sherlock has epic diva meltdown over a presenter wearing the same colour DRESS as her 9 News presenter Amber Sherlock demanded reporter Julie Snook change outfit Just before going live, Sherlock realised both of them and a guest were in white Ms Snook put up a fight and didn't want to change - making things very awkward She eventually gave in and put on a black jacket following the extraordinary row Newsreaders are usually all smiles when they're on air, but it seems they're not always the best of friends once the cameras are switched off - as this outrageous video reveals. The extraordinary footage taken in a 9 News studio shows newsreader Amber Sherlock having an epic meltdown after realising she, a fellow journalist and her guest were all wearing white. She descended into rage after spotting 9 News presenter Julie Snook and psychologist Sandy Rea sporting similar dresses to her moments before going live on Wednesday. Directing her anger at her colleague, Ms Sherlock demanded Ms Snook put on a different coloured jacket, creating an extremely awkward situation for their guest. Awkward: 9 News presenter Amber Sherlock (centre) had an outrageous meltdown after realising she, presenter Julie Snook (left) and her guest psychologist Sandy Rea (right) were all wearing white Speaking to her producer, the presenter said: 'I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.' Ms Snook defended herself, insisting she had not had time to change out of her outfit. But Ms Sherlock refused to back down, replying: 'Come on I told you two hours ago.' Her fellow 9 News reporter apologised and said she had been 'flat out' and had not had time to switch into a different colour. But a furious Ms Sherlock had no time for her apology and continued to demand she get changed before going live. Psychologist Ms Rea, who by this point looked very uncomfortable, offered to find a jacket herself, as she was wearing white too. But Ms Sherlock told her to calm down and pointedly remarked that she was fine as she had made sure to mention in advance that she would be wearing white. 'There can't be three of us,' the newscaster flatly said. 'If it's an issue I can get on out of here,' Ms Snook said. 'It is an issue. Go and grab a jacket,' Ms Sherlock coldly replied, adding: 'I wasn't saying it for no reason. The wardrobe girls will be furious.' Ms Snook tried to claim her dress was actually blue, but she then agreed to put on a black jacket that was lying around in the newsroom. 'If there’s an issue I can just head on out and get back to work. I’m flat chat. I genuinely forgot,' the reporter said as she left her chair to find other clothes. But Ms Sherlock was not finished. 'Fine, jump on out if that’s what you’d like to do. Come on, wearing a jacket. I asked you two-and-a-half hours ago. It’s not the hardest request. 'I know it’s not your issue. But we did talk about it two-and-a-half hours ago.' Despite their incredibly diva-esque row, the pair were all-smiles when they went on air, with Ms Sherlock grinning as she introduced her colleague - who was wearing the black jacket. It is not clear who leaked the footage, which was published by Mumbrella. The two 9 News journalists have since released a statement, with Ms Sherlock admitting she 'probably overreacted'. 'Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times. And as anyone knows, it’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends,' she said. 'I probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin. 'Thank goodness we had psychologist Sandy Rae around afterwards!!' Ms Snook added: 'What can I say? Amber and I just really love white! 'Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her. 'News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.'

Just before going live, Sherlock realised both of them and a guest were in white
Ms Snook put up a fight and didn't want to change - making things very awkward
She eventually gave in and put on a black jacket following the extraordinary row
Newsreaders are usually all smiles when they're on air, but it seems they're not always the best of friends once the cameras are switched off - as this outrageous video reveals.
The extraordinary footage taken in a 9 News studio shows newsreader Amber Sherlock having an epic meltdown after realising she, a fellow journalist and her guest were all wearing white.
She descended into rage after spotting 9 News presenter Julie Snook and psychologist Sandy Rea sporting similar dresses to her moments before going live on Wednesday.
Directing her anger at her colleague, Ms Sherlock demanded Ms Snook put on a different coloured jacket, creating an extremely awkward situation for their guest.

Speaking to her producer, the presenter said: 'I need Julie to put a jacket on because we're all in white. I asked her before we came on… Julie you need to put a jacket on.'
Ms Snook defended herself, insisting she had not had time to change out of her outfit.
But Ms Sherlock refused to back down, replying: 'Come on I told you two hours ago.'
Her fellow 9 News reporter apologised and said she had been 'flat out' and had not had time to switch into a different colour.
But a furious Ms Sherlock had no time for her apology and continued to demand she get changed before going live.
Psychologist Ms Rea, who by this point looked very uncomfortable, offered to find a jacket herself, as she was wearing white too.
But Ms Sherlock told her to calm down and pointedly remarked that she was fine as she had made sure to mention in advance that she would be wearing white.
'There can't be three of us,' the newscaster flatly said.
'If it's an issue I can get on out of here,' Ms Snook said.
'It is an issue. Go and grab a jacket,' Ms Sherlock coldly replied, adding: 'I wasn't saying it for no reason. The wardrobe girls will be furious.'
Ms Snook tried to claim her dress was actually blue, but she then agreed to put on a black jacket that was lying around in the newsroom.
'If there’s an issue I can just head on out and get back to work. I’m flat chat. I genuinely forgot,' the reporter said as she left her chair to find other clothes.
But Ms Sherlock was not finished.
'Fine, jump on out if that’s what you’d like to do. Come on, wearing a jacket. I asked you two-and-a-half hours ago. It’s not the hardest request.
'I know it’s not your issue. But we did talk about it two-and-a-half hours ago.'
Despite their incredibly diva-esque row, the pair were all-smiles when they went on air, with Ms Sherlock grinning as she introduced her colleague - who was wearing the black jacket.
It is not clear who leaked the footage, which was published by Mumbrella.
The two 9 News journalists have since released a statement, with Ms Sherlock admitting she 'probably overreacted'.
'Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times. And as anyone knows, it’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends,' she said.
'I probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin.
'Thank goodness we had psychologist Sandy Rae around afterwards!!'
Ms Snook added: 'What can I say? Amber and I just really love white!
'Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her.
'News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.'
