Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively make first public appearance with daughters

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are the Hollywood pair most revered for their red carpet appearances, that is until their daughters made their debut.

Despite Reynolds, 40, being honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his wife, 29, by his side looking like a glamazon as per, two-year-old James Reynolds and her three-month-old sister, whose name has yet to be revealed, completely stole the show.

The toddler alluded to the possibility of someday following in her parents' famous footsteps by grabbing on tight to a mircophone and running off down the red carpet to the amusement of the crowd. While her newborn sibling was more subdued for the occasion, sitting contently in her parents' arms.

"It's not the first time she's snatched a mic out of someone's hands. When she's 20, she can happily do whatever she wants. Thirty — I'm gonna up that to 30," Reynolds joked to Extra

James also proved to be a chip of the old block when it comes her fashionista mother after her navy and cream varsity jacket by Coach x Colette (around $AU270) sold out following her world debut.

Taking to the podium, the former Two Guys, A Girl, And A Pizza Place star and current Deadpool actor thanked Lively for just being her and for giving him the two girls.

"I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there who is everything to me. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me," Reynolds said.

"You make everything better. You make everything in my life better. You've given me two of the most incredible children I've ever hoped to have."

It's the first time the Reynolds girls have been photographed in public with their famously private parents, who prefer to keep them out of the public.

"This is one of the rare occasions when we thought we got to bring the whole clan," he added. "I'd regret it in 20 years if I didn't."

Reynolds, who was nominated for a best actor in a musical or comedy Golden Globe award this week, also paid tribute to his father James, who died last year after battling Parkinson's disease.

"He never made things easy on anyone, especially himself," Reynolds said. "He would have got a real kick out of this. This is also for him."
