Despite recently opening up about the challenges of raising a tween, according to her ex, Ben Affleck, when it comes to parenting, Jennifer Garner has it all under control.
Affleck, 44, opened up about his family and his former partner during a Times Talk at the NYU Skirball Centre for Performing Arts on Monday night, reports PEOPLE.
When asked to nominate the most defining moment of his life, for the Academy Award winner, it was all about his children - Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4,
"In my career or otherwise, it is the birth of my children," he said. "The entrance of my children into the world."
Affleck was also full of praise for ex Jennifer Garner,44, - to whom he was married for ten years - calling her "the world's greatest mum".
"It's a joy to hang out with them," the star added of his brood, sharing that he believes the meaning of life is "to make good people".
During his talk, the doting dad also credited his son, Samuel, for convincing him to take on the role of Batman.
"I was like, 'I don't know if I want to be Batman', and he was like, 'Dad, you have to be Batman.' He's right. If you can be Batman, you have to be Batman," Affleck said.
The father-of-three admitted that his son still thinks he really is, Batman, however. "He thinks I'm in my Batcave right now," he said. "Eventually, he will understand, and it will be a steep therapist's bill, but I'll take it."
Since splitting in June 2015, Garner and Affleck have both spoken out about co-parenting after separation, admitting, "we try our best".
Speaking to TODAY in August, Garner reflected on their new normal, noting, "we're doing well". The couple even holidayed together with their three kids, Garner explaining that she and Affleck remain good friends.
"Ben was working in London, on 'Justice League,' and I felt like, 'Well, the kids should have that experience,'" she said. "And he and I are great friends, and we just all went en masse."
"We are definitely a modern family."
